Xbox 360 Gamertag: G0dlike S
Official EA Sports NCAA Football 2010 Thread
the afternoon off to enjoy some gaming.
If anyone is starting an online dynasty on the PS3, my gamertag is emmekel.
looking to make a ps3 online dynasty...I got a few people already, but i want to wait until rosters are fixed to start.
What team would you want, Michigan?
nmt701 for ps3. Count me in for the online dynasty.
My first post whooo!! I just opened an account so I could get my user name in the discussion for an online dynasty. I play on the ps3 and usually on Heisman I had a dynasty last year with one other person but I want to get into a bigger one. My user name on ps3 network is BallZDeeP210 and I don't really care if I'm Michigan either. I can be North Carolina, UCLA, Auburn, or anyone else.
I'm looking to get into a dynasty my username is sizzlechests. Just shoot an invite at me and I can be anybody.
zinzarin on PS3 (same username as here)
I've been playing on All-American, but am trying to upgrade my skills with this version so I can play on Heisman. My second team in Georgia, so I'd love to play them in the dynasty; I don't need to be Michigan. I think whoever starts the dynasty should get that honor.
I also want to wait until the rosters are out.
Send me an invite when you're ready!
gamertag is fabfiver5. get at me for a dynasty.
kojo052, I'm in.
Mine's letsgoblue213. I would be interested in doing an online dynasty once i get the game.
I played one game with Michigan, Tate is definitely adequate at the position...honestly Michigan is rated higher than they should be..I think 89 overall. State is rated as the worst team in the big ten lmao..haha
worse than Indiana?!
I liked Tate in the one game I played last night. Though I saw his elusiveness rating was a 32. I was not happy with that EA.
His elusiveness rating is a 32? Is EAS smoking crack?
I would have at least given him a 70 rating for elusiveness.
I would take USC, Texas, Oklahoma, or LSU.
rosters being done?
My only question is why is Mark Moundros black?
I found a roster fix/update:
Follow the steps below to get the file:
- On the main menu, go to ONLINE
- Select EA LOCKER
- Pick DOWNLOAD ROSTER
- Select ENTER ONLINE ID and type in the correct ID:
Anyone have a good place to find named rosters?
I will get the game when I get back home (on Friday) and am excited to play. Hopefully, rosters will be available then so I can jump right into it!
In EA's rush to pimp Erin Andrews and add other superfluous stuff have they fixed some of the maddening stuff from last year on the gameplay front? Like, can Michigan actually run the Zone Read and leave the backside DE unblocked or is that play still a wash? Are there formation substitutes or do you still have to do that through the wonky depth chart? These are the things that are making me nervous about actually picking it up.
What are some of the ratings for incoming freshman? Who is missing? Is Denard, Denard fast???
3rd fastest QB after Pryor and Griffin.
Well, midway through my first season on Heisman, I've got three guys from the O-Line (Schilling, Molk, and Huyge) sidelined with injuries. Tate Forcier has a 2:3 TD:INT ratio, Brandon Minor's over 1,200 yards and Odoms is over 800 receiving, and I managed to beat little brother and Iowa while losing to Indiana.
So I'm thinking maybe this is the most verisimilar game in the history of eveyrthing?
I play the game on All-American, and have always played the game on All-American. Every time I try it on Heisman difficulty, the scales are tipped wayyyy against me. On All-American, the scales are just slightly in my favor.
Any advice on how to get better at the harder difficulty? What skills do I need to develop to compete on Heisman and have it feel like a fair, but competitive matchup?
I had this problem too. It wasn't as bad with the last version of the game, particularly if you ran the spread and had a fast slot receiver.
I would buy one if it weren't for my career and social life. Not poking fun at any of you, but I know that if I had this game, I would probably dedicate my life towards building a Michigan dynasty. I would never leave my home and probably gain 100 lbs....
Have fun though guys....make sure you make Denard a little faster, he should be at least a 94
I think they have him slotted perfectly on speed.
A QB with a speed rating much more than where he is at completely unbalances the game.
Good Point....it's especially annoying when you are playing against somebody who has an annoyingly fast QB.....no matter how good your D is, 3rd downs are always converted on a QB sneak with a fast QB
I'm rushing home after work today to start my Michigan dynasty. Hopefully recruiting isn't as easy as it has been in previous years
In the first game I played, Tate got hurt for 9 weeks with a broken jaw. I'm praying this doesn't actually happen. The good news was that Denard played well and won me the game with a 50 yard rush on an option keeper.
Got it at midnight, just strolled into my local Wal-Mart and they had a massive box in the back.
First game I played was OSU @ Michigan ... Tate played well (something like 15-20 with 200 yards and 2 TDs) but the defense fell apart in a 36-27 loss. Brandon Graham managed to pull off my first ever video game block of a CPU kick and had a few sacks.
I'm waiting for the named rosters to come out before I start my actual dynasty, but I do hope it's harder than 09. The Maize and Blue machine that I built last year won like four straight national titles.
I can't be the only one who found rousing success with Carlos Brown at QB in last year's edition.
Are the two freshmen good enough to play a competitive game with friends, or should I get ready to put Carlos under center?
Tate's a solid passer and can scramble when needed.
I only got to see Denard once, when Tate went out for a few plays with a shoulder bruise ... he rushed for -2 yards.
carlos brown took about 50 percent of my snaps last yr but theyve slowed him down to like 92 this yr and tate and denard were both studs
I wouldn't call it a douche move, but then again, I did the same thing: Carlos Brown, two-time Heisman winning quarterback. I created Kevin Newsome as a prospect and he led Michigan to three more NC's after Brown's departure. I might have jumped the gun on that one.
Carlos Brown was amazing for me. One time in an online game Carlos Brown made the other guy furious. I lined Brown up at qb, rb, and slot depending on the situation. This is the only time that I have ever had a player catch, throw, and run for a TD in the same game. If only the real Carlos had been that effective...
HB #23 received every snap I had unless I absolutely had to pass.
Slant 18 with trips to the narrow side of the field. Zone coverage, flip the run direction to the strong side. Man, simply run to the weak side.
touchdown or 20+ yard gain nearly every time, it was absurd. He just burns the safety to the corner every time due to EA's weak pursuit AI in 2k9. The new pursuit AI seems to have solved this problem.
HB #23 == Carlos Brown.
You == Fail
Learn your players, or at least download a roster with some freaking names.
1) I call him HB #23 because I enjoy doing so. That's who the character is in my game, and that is what he shall be called.
2) It's my way of poking fun at the lawsuit over player likenesses in NCAA.
3) If you truly think I don't know who Carlos Brown is... well, I don't even know how to respond to that. The idea is incredulous.
Failed attempt at calling me out on failing? Good job on that.
ps: == is for equality testing, not assignment.
edit: also, that was not my -1 for your post. that'd be hypocritical of me
Anyone played with any created online teams yet? I am still in the process of putting together the 1997 Wolverines with complete roster and 1997-style Nike uniforms.
I refuse to pay for this bland EA crap. Gotta love when the game has major bugs on release day and you already have to DL a patch. They just add crap that was in the previous gen games and call it new. The game play still has the same issues and I am done with the series until they give it a major overhaul. My 09 version is the same damn thing. Also no formation substitutes, freaking uncalled for. I wish 2K could get their hands on the NCAA licence.
but I'll still inevitably buy it just to get through the offseason.
I own no next gen system on which to play this game. FML.
It's pretty bad that the AI is so infuriating I literally broke a controller 20 minutes into the game.
Is there still the option to upload custom music for third down stops and whatnot?
better than we will be ... i started a dynasty and immediatly used tate and denard to rush for over 150 yds which was fun ... also thought big will looked like a beast and got a cheap pick with him
XBOX 360 gamertag: skiace13 ... i am intereste din doing an online dynasty if anyone is doing it on 360
Went out and bought it this morning. I'd still be playing if my 8 wk old didn't wake up...
Tate threw 4 INTs against ND last game (ouch), but Minor came through with a 100+ yd game to seal the victory.
Xbox live: Mr Maize
The camera angle is pissing me off.
i dont like it ... however it lets you see cutback angles when scrambling with tate better
Just won my first game, Boise State 31- Georgia Tech 17. BTW, tackling is much better than last years.
One major problem, they attempted to do more realistic pre-game on-field stuff, but completely butchered Michigan's. Just the band lined up in an inexplicable GO GO GO formation.
What, so EA can get Louisiana Tech's accurate pregame, but they give Michigan "Go go go?" That is a load of horse shit.
Does the Michigan band seriously spell out "Go go go" instead of the Block M? Fuck, that's lame.
I'm sadly going to have to skip this year's edition. I have too much going on this year and that game is like crack to me. Have fun without me.
Nine months now and my brand new XBOX 360 still sits, unopened, on my closet shelf.
wanna sell it?
Stevie Brown sprained his ankle. My team got better
Stevie Brown had 12 tackles in my first game... I'm primarily use him while on defense. 100 tackles is my goal.
Well, I ran out to Game Stop this morning to get it, eagerly unwrapped it, and started playing. I break a super long run with Tate and then boom, a blueish hue covers the screen. I could still play, but everything had a blue tint to it, so I restarted the ol' Xbox and tried again...Same blue tint. I figured maybe I got a bad copy so I just kept playing with the intention of returning it later for a new copy. I played a few games online, in which I got straight up waxed, and then turned it off to go eat dinner. I came back and tried to boot up the Xbox, but was greeted by an E 74 error, which must be sent in and repaired by Microsoft. Thankfully it is under warranty so I don't have to pay for a fix, but now I have to sit and look at the case of a game I got to play once and am dying to play for a few weeks until my xbox is fixed...
This exact thing happened to me a few weeks ago. It went blue and then E 74'd the next time I turned it on. Thankfully, the repair process is pretty painless and quick. My local UPS guy said he gets about 8 a day - not really surprising but still ridiculous.
I just got a 360 and can get 09 for like $25 vs $60 for 10. People seem to be split on whether its awesome or not really that different from 09.
If i get 09 can i still get this year's roster?
-new to the 360 stuff
If really depends on what you care about in your games. In my opinion the actual football gameplay is significantly better in 10 than 09.
Also the game mechanics have been changed to balance out the flaws of 09.
-The AI has been improved a great deal in areas such as angles that defensive players use
-AI no longer bites on lame glitches that are abused in 09 such as super juking.
-No more impervious pass blocking
-Passes actually go errant when the QB is hit
-Defenders can really cover
-Scrambling with the QB is no longer the answer to all problems
I guess my only complaint is that EA tried to spice up the atmosphere of the college game and are bordering on overdoing it.
-The band formations are a nice touch but many schools only have generic formations.
-The commentary is only good for making Corso look like a fool
-Erin Andrews serves no purpose other than being the only female in a football video game
In other words do you want 10's better gameplay (feels more like a real game) with too much glitter or 09's flawed game mechanics (every team is essentially Texas Tech) for half the price?
