Aright so here is the projected Oline depth chart for the 2009 season:
LT - Ortman (Sr), Dorrestein (Jr), Nowicki (Jr)
LG - Schilling (Jr), Barnum (Fr)
C - Molk (So), Moosman (Sr), McAvoy, Khoury (Fr)
RG - Moosman (Sr), Ferrera (Jr), Wermers (Fr), Mealer (Fr)
RT - Huyge (So), Omameh (Fr), Dorrestein (Jr), O'neal (Fr)
As of now Ive left out our yungins, who I havent really heard much about position wise: Michael Scofield (Fr), Taylor Lewan (Fr), Quinton Washington (Fr).
I think you have to expect at least two of these guys to redshirt with all of the depth already.
I think the position of greatest concern has got to be LT. Assuming the Schilling is able to make the switch to LG smoothly, which reports suggest has been the case. There is both a lack of youth, and a lack of overall potential. This concerns me because I would hate to see our QB get continuously blindsided.
Do we know anything about where the incoming freshman are projected? Im pretty sure Quinton is projected at one of the Guards.
Also are there any chances that the loser at RT gets moved over to LT, or is this a difficult switch? Id hate to see Omameh get stuck behind Huyge (or vice versa) b/c there both said to be playing very well.
