Background info, medium fluff:
Nice article on Greg Robinson
The more I read about him, the more I think he is the right DC for us.
I always liked English, but it seems that there were always lapses in tackling and other fundamentals.
Fundamentals is what has been lacking in the Michigan defense for YEARS now. I don't care what kind of defense run - if we can't tackle and take correct pursuit angles, then we have no shot.
Is Robinson the kind of guy that will focus on fundamentals with our guys? I think that is the biggest thing we lacked last year on the team overall. We fumbled a lot and we couldn't tackle.
One of the first things he did was put in a new tackling system. So we'll see how that goes.
