New Shirt Comment Count

Brian

Hello! I swear this idea was in the hopper long before the Wolverine Liberation Army came along and made MGoCommunism chic, but there's a new shirt available for preorder at MGoStore. It looks like this:

Now you can headbutt all your Che-lovin' hippie friends with the power of Bo.

The deal on shirts going forward is this: we'll put them up for preorder when they're designed. Preorders will be $3 off the regular price; when there are sufficient preorders to indicate demand the shirts will get printed up in an appropriate number and shipped out. Get to it, if you would.

He should have an 'M' on his hat. You could've probably distorted it enough or use it as negative space on the hat to avoid any sort of infringement. Then again, I'm no lawya.

Was going to pre-order one of these but am moving back to AA in about a month and want to avoid the embarrassment of asking my parents to send a t-shirt with what looks like a picture of a communist phone sex operator on it. I also want to make sure I have a non-lame maize shirt for the first maize out. Brian? Rich? So what's the critical mass of shirt orders required before the little grey men start cranking these badboys out?

You young guys complicate things way too much. To wit: Step 1: Buy a yellow shirt (no one can tell the difference) Step 2: Smear said shit with pig's blood Step 3: Stuff shirt under car seat for three weeks Step 4: Go to Michigan game Step 5: After game, go home with 4 young blond coeds, preferably from the opposing team's fans. They will be fascinated by your stories of The Revolution, the blood (Obviously from the victims of the Old Guard that you have murdered and eaten), and they will want to have their picture taken of you, and it will be a short leap from there to their hotel room where all four will do their utmost to please you. Step 5: Propose to every one of them, and seek donations for The Revolution (small, unmarked bills). Step 6: When the money arrives, disappear, but not before boning the four one last time, and telling them that you will be back as soon as (make up some shit here) happens. Step 7: Repeat at next home game.

Henne, there's literally NOTHING happening aside from a few visits here and there. Other than David Gordon committing to Arkansas yesterday and Watt to ND a few weeks ago there's not much at all.

Not only that, this is the so called "Dead Period" where coaches are not allowed to contact players. You should tune in to Scout, and get a feel for the daily panic threads about how Kevin Newsome is either A)Not coming or B)A scumbag for not recruiting other players here.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here (or not), but is it possible in any way that David Gordon committing to Arkansas helps us with Darius Winston? The logic is that Winston might see David Gordon from MI committing to Arkansas as meaning that Arkansas doesn't need him any longer but Michigan does, or that UA is just filling the slot left open by Winston leaving.  This logic probably sucks.

Alternatively, it might be UA's way of showing Winston that UM doesn't really need CB's and that UA is even more valuable that UM to a CB from MI.

Or, I should just shut the hell up, as it means absolutely nothing and that the only interesting thing here is that both DB's have first names only.

Dammit.  I have a question.  Keep in mind that this is the closest I have followed recruiting ever.  This may sound unappreciative of his recent recruiting wins, but does RR seem to have a hard time at all holding on to recruits, or does this sort of thing happen all the time and is pretty much unpredictable?  I'm guessing the latter, because a coach can only do so much to make a recruit comfortable at a campus and for some unholy reason, Zach Martin liked ND more.  Besides, I'm sure that there are some recruits we've gotten that were expected to go elsewhere, most notably the snake oil recruits of last year's class.

What do you people think about all this?

What recruit did he "have" that he "lost" recently? I'm unclear. Martin never committed to us, right?

It's not that RR has lost commitments.  It's just that there have been a bunch of recruits that have dropped UM after considering us.  It could really be nothing. I was just wondering if UM was losing out on any recruits any more often than usual, that RR was struggling in the head-to-head recruiting battles.  His snake oil last year suggests otherwise though.

Conversely, it seems like more top recruits are considering UM than in past years. This is a promising trend.

Waymen, Martin is another Catholic school boy from Indiana, so his choosing ND isn't all that surprising, really. There was just a bunch of speculation that because of their depth chart he'd opt for us instead.

And we're 1-8 against Weis in OL head to heads- it's not just Rich but us in general. Go figure that one out and let me know if you find an answer, because the "I coached in the NFL" thing can only go so far.

Well, we had something liek 50 offers out. So there clearly is going to be a fair amount of attrition from those that originally had us "on their list" and who shows up.
