Finally something from twitter other than players complaining about how lame the party they're at is:
Presumably this means there will be new road jerseys because changing the home ones would cause frogs to rain from the sky and the Huron River to run red with blood. I can't wait for the piping/bib controversy that will engulf the month of July. What will it be this time?
Guesses:
- Numbers will be replaced with hieroglyphs depicting wolverines in various states of repose, anger, and triumph.
- The pants will contain a legend for the hieroglyphs…
- …and a treasure map!
- Bamboo socks.
- One shoulder will have epaulets.
I expect the paint crew will have mockups of potential new jerseys ("it's a cross between the Wild's third jerseys and Barcelona!") in short order. Then we have only to wait to see how tearfully accurate our sarcastic exaggerations are. Come, Armageddon, come.

The new jerseys will be created as part of a "Project Runway" challenge. I for one, am pretty excited.

Changing home jerseys would be sacrilegious. No way. No how. Now, away jerseys, however. I know I shouldn't admit this but i kinda like me those practice jerseys with the stripes on the side. Does anyone else feel the same way?

I would love to see Michigan go back to the Pre-1997 road jerseys. They are beautiful! There is no possibility of anyone messing with the home jerseys.

I've been a huge proponent of this move for over five years now, and even posted about it in the past. It's about as close as we can get to the Home classics in an away uniform. PURE WIN.

50 years ago Michigan football uniforms looks like this (1960). Note the numeral font.
Now all you do is blend in some Borussia Dortmund (Germany) neon yellow plus striped socks and ouila!!
They started using that font in the 30's. I really wish they'd go back to it, those 4's are awesome.
The neighbor's dog is only at medium rare- no way I'm taking that little f#cker out of the oven till he's at least medium.

Their is no way that they will change the home jerseys. That's just not going to happen. I wouldn't mind us changing the away jerseys seeing we have won a whole one game in those new aways jerseys the past two years. It will be interesting to see what happens though.
You can neg me or whatever, but uniforms are just uniforms. As long as Michigan gets back to winning I could care less if they are wearing blue, white, maize, or pomegranate.
Michigan could use a minor change of its uniform. Dark blue pants for home and away, maybe. Definately no yellow tops ...ever. No changes to the helmet.
When Michigan wins consistently, people won't care what they are wearing.
