and of course we don't know yet how long this will last, is that the last week of conference play seems to have shaken out this way:
Ohio State-Michigan, yep, keeping that one.
Indiana-Purdue, yep, keeping that one.
New guys, play your neighbors. Wisconsin, I don't know, um, Penn State, what the hell. The rest of you, whatever. Figure something out.
With five of the six teams in the Not-Michigan Division locked up, Illinois has to play a cross-division rival. If they end with Northwestern (which would make sense, that being their protected rivalry), then that leaves Michigan State and Minnesota as the last ones on the floor. (For some reason, Illinois closes with Northwestern in 2011 but Minnesota in 2012.)
