Michigan State Highlights
Chris of Dangerous Logic must be hopped up on goofballs to shoot this out so quickly, but we all benefit:
Drew Dileo is The Threat. It is done.

Not bad, gentlemen. Not bad at all.

Nice to see you wanderin' 'round these here parts again.
October 20th, 2012 at 10:52 PM ^
Is it just me or did they look like the 1990's Power Rangers?
October 20th, 2012 at 10:55 PM ^
A snippet from the commentator after the winning field goal. Did anyone catch what he was referring to?
October 20th, 2012 at 11:06 PM ^
After the field goal. Well warranted.
October 20th, 2012 at 11:58 PM ^
it was 5 yards, and the timing didn't seem to fit. Other than that, you might be right.
October 22nd, 2012 at 1:30 PM ^
Michigan kicked off from their own 20 with 5 seconds left, which means that it was a 15-yard penalty.
October 21st, 2012 at 12:46 AM ^
the commentator stated he was ok with the celebration and that it wasn't that 'Mickey Mouse' stuff that some do in the endzone.
Edit: Didin't see the Deli Cuts comment just below. Dang it!

I missed it during the game for some strange reason. Thanks to the other people who answered, too.
October 20th, 2012 at 10:58 PM ^
On that key run by Fitz to midfield with less than 2:00 to go. Dilithium apparently has ever more innovative uses every week.
October 21st, 2012 at 12:47 AM ^
Just came in here to post that. HUGE block.
October 21st, 2012 at 7:54 AM ^
That run I believe was by V Smith
October 20th, 2012 at 11:06 PM ^
I put together a highlight video of Gholston faster than that.
October 20th, 2012 at 11:08 PM ^
I just watched these twice. I know it's only a rough cut and leaves out a lot of the ugly but a win is a win.
October 21st, 2012 at 9:28 AM ^
If it includes *any* of the ugly, then I screwed up.
October 20th, 2012 at 11:19 PM ^
Did better than last year all around, except the red zone, but hey, we won!
October 20th, 2012 at 11:31 PM ^
Just watched it again focusing only on Tom Gholston and he was a total non-factor. Now Of course it was a Michigan highlight reel so if he made a good play it wouldn't be there, but at the 4 minute mark true freshman TE AJ Williams is assigned to block him alone and seems to do so with ease. And on the short yardage running downs he is removed from the field entirely, which seems unusual for a 280 lb DE.
October 20th, 2012 at 11:47 PM ^
I don't think Tom made one play in MSU's comically one-sided highlights either:
October 21st, 2012 at 12:07 AM ^
From the State highlight reel, the only notable thing I saw him do was to hit Lewan in the facemask on the interception play just before the end of the half.
October 21st, 2012 at 12:29 AM ^
He does that on the very first or second play in the highlights posted here as well.
October 20th, 2012 at 11:35 PM ^
of two 5' 11" players: Denard Robinson and Drew Dileo that defeated Narduzzi's "unnecessary roughness" defense today.
Denard had a decent day on the ground too - 96 yards, 4.8 ypc.
Both teams were pretty even in all stat categories today, except Michigan outrushed MSU for the first time in forever.
October 21st, 2012 at 1:35 AM ^
Is 5'9" on a good day
October 21st, 2012 at 1:35 PM ^
really good day.
October 21st, 2012 at 2:08 AM ^
Jeremy Gallon. He had a hand in it too. Good things seem to happen when he gets his hands on the ball on offense (punt receiving still makes me hold my breath).
Go little guys!
October 21st, 2012 at 9:14 AM ^
such a bad day, after all. Bell averaged about 2.4 yards per carry, so we bottled him up well.
Denard's relative lack of height does look like it's often a factor in his throwing.
October 20th, 2012 at 11:36 PM ^
usually don't have too many highlites. Honestly what did MSU have 3-4 highlite worthy plays in the game?
I'm not even sure I want to watch the whole thing again, I will, but seems the moment where Brunettes become important in life is the only real highlite worth watching.
October 20th, 2012 at 11:48 PM ^
Does anyone know about injuries sustained during the game? Did Raymon Taylor return after injuring his arm on that play down the sideline where he was flagged for pass interference?

October 21st, 2012 at 12:12 AM ^
WE ARE ALL THE THREAT.
October 21st, 2012 at 12:12 AM ^
I needed to see the final score again, because as I read some of the threads and comments on this board, I started to think maybe I'd only dreamed that Hoke & Co. earned a victory.
We did WIN, right? As in, the Spartans LOST?
October 21st, 2012 at 12:17 AM ^
celebration penalties. He said the flags against the michkey-mouse stuff in the end zones deserves a flag, but what do you expect a bunch of kids to after a game-winner against a rival.
October 21st, 2012 at 12:19 AM ^
a hyper-extended left elbow. After watching the replay several times (from my DVR) he braced his fall on that play with his left arm and the elbow gave out.
October 21st, 2012 at 12:20 AM ^
Dileo might just be the root word of Di-lithium......ah ah......yea it was a stretch at best
October 21st, 2012 at 12:39 AM ^
It look like the pressure to win may have affected Robinson's passing game. This was big must win since MSU had it's winning streak and we were at home. I'm glad the team came back and won. Next week against NE, Robinson will have a much better game!
October 21st, 2012 at 12:44 AM ^
enjoyed the sparty that thought the field goal missed and began skipping toward the sideline.
October 21st, 2012 at 8:27 AM ^
Ha! I missed that until you pointed it out. That is great,
October 21st, 2012 at 1:37 PM ^
shit his pants.

LOL at the ref giving THE THREAT the business for jawing at the db after his first catch
October 21st, 2012 at 7:38 AM ^
October 21st, 2012 at 9:16 AM ^
his tackler, actually. Ref may have been doing the right thing.
October 21st, 2012 at 1:37 PM ^
not see that. Interesting.......
October 21st, 2012 at 12:59 AM ^
The audio on the BTN always drowns out the crowd noise, unfortunately.
October 21st, 2012 at 1:06 AM ^
It was an ugly game, but I will take an ugly win over a loss any day. Dileo was in full beast mode today. Also, this defense is playing amazing right now. Nothing over 13 points in five straight games. I have to guess they are top 15 nationally in defense, and number one or two in the B1G. I am sure someone will toss the numbers around when they get the chance.
October 21st, 2012 at 1:07 AM ^
Go to 2:48 to see Jake Ryan's most awesome play of the night (which went largely unnoticed). Killer DOUBLE BLOCK.
October 21st, 2012 at 2:19 AM ^
thanks for the pointer. that was awesome
