really doesn't have a whole lot of upside that I can see as of now. Heard as the stories of him being transformed into a beast machine in the off season, but so far he has looked like the same dude. Like, exactly the same.

hoops is the better source, but this site will have good hoops coverage once football wraps up and the BIG season hits its stride. Really, how much can be said about and 80-33 win over Delaware State. A game happened, and the team with actual players won by lots of points.

In the past, when things didnt go Ace's way, he would pout and refuse to recap the game. Now, after victories in basketball, he doesn't recap games.

???

I understand it was against a weak opponent but I didn't get to watch so it would have been nice to read about what happened rather than see a haiku.

all fairness, this really has been only a football site for most of its run. They only started doing preview "death from above" posts in like 2012 when we got kind of good. Even then only big games and "death to backboard" events got any coverage at all. Brian's full reviews of actual games are almost as extensive as football reviews now, and his "thoughts from a rooftop" post the night of the Louisville game was an all time great. I agree, Ace mailed it in here but overall the hoops coverage is solid I think.

he's been showing flashes of being able to rebound in the last few games. he's clearly a plus passer...i would love to see him have the light turn on during the big ten season.

this was delaware st i know but still....

won't play him regularly unless he can shoot threes at a 38-40% clip. I am with you, I think he has a nice little game, though a little unorthodox. But the deep ball is the bottom line, and if he can't knock it down he gone.(to the bench, not like off the team)

Chatman is one of those guys who's going to just turn it on as a senior (just like JMO) and then we will say... what could have been if he was THIS GOOD for all 4 years?!

Kam has most certainly been very inconsistent in his first two years at UM. However, he is showing more glimpses of promise this year compared to last year.  He seems to be developing more confident which is necessary to contribute at a high level.  I agree that Beilein expects Kam to be a plus defender and rebounder but I'm not sure I would say he's plus in those two categories yet.  I'd like to see him get stronger and more assertive.  I also agree that he could be one of those players that blossoms later in his career, maybe his junior and senior year. Heck, he may start taking some of Irvin's minutes if he doesn't start playing better.
