...is sooooo sloooow.
"Rodrick Williams Jr.'s 10-month old, 2-foot-long savannah monitor named "Kill" gets the RB some strange looks when they go for walks together."
A couple GIFs to tide you over until tomorrow. First, a new entry in the Andrew Dakich Celebration Pantheon:
Also keep an eye on Stauskas, busy trolling the entire Illinois student section, and if you're of legal age you're allowed to look at the Orange Crush and their variety of inappropriate hand gestures.
The second GIF requires a jump, because it contains every Michigan three-point make from the game. Yes, all 16 of them.
452 frames of rain:
Rims hit: two (three if you want to double-count the Stauskas rattler). That's patently unfair.
...is sooooo sloooow.
And now I just fucked it up by commenting. SHIT!
Can't stop watching. It's time to head home from work, but I can't stop watching. This must be what Groce feels like - MAKE IT STOP!!
you enjoyed it a lot more than Groce
After about 20 cycles through, it still doesn't get old. Just in case you were wondering.
Any time we get a basket now, I look for Andrew Dakich on the bench just to see his reaction.
Some kind of prancing moonwalk during the first GIF.
Same! Can we get a "One Frame at a Time: Andrew Dakich Celebration Edition" at the end of the season?
It makes me want to go back and look at some of the earlier games this year to find more glorious celebrations.
Was thinking the same thing, his reactions are amazing. He must know the shots are going in cause it looks like he starts moonwalking the second Stauskas gets the ball..
For sixth man award.
It's also fun to watch Groce since a lot of the bombs were dropped right in front of the Illini bench. I think Groce's go-to move is the "Crestfallen" - let neck and shoulders go limp simultaneously while dropping the head from facing forward to facing the floor.
Can't believe I started this Dakich trend. May be my biggest contribution in life.
I was wondering if anyone else caught that gem. Does he practice these?!
If GIFs take a really long time to load for you, there are browser extensions that will delay playback until each GIF is fully loaded.
Chrome: GIF Delayer
Firefox: GIF Delayer
There's also the Chrome extension GIF Scrubber, which lets you have movie-like control over playback. That one is a lot of fun to play around with.
gifscrubber is awesome. Speeding it up 8X is hilarious.
+1 to you!
Awesome, never heard of Gfycat before but I like what you did with it!
On Nik's last 3 he doesn't even celebrate, he buries his head in his hands from most likely exhaustion
I think my favorite 3 was the spike pump fake and drain
Horford shuffled on his screen on .gif number 1.. definitely a wily veteran move.
It would be great to see the number that each of the 3-point makes represents for the game. I wasn't sure halfway through if I had looped back to the beginning, or if I was watching new shots.
Closed the photoshop window; adding numbers would've quadrupled the amount of time it took to put this together, anyway. (Any editing beyond a static overlay—like the MGoBlog logo—takes a significant amount of time.)
My best suggestion is to keep an eye on the scoreboard at the bottom.
When do you think you'll start playing around with GFY?
I laughed at the Marcus Hall double bird salute that Nik got from the student section. Nik making friends all over the world!
You have Spike never breaking stride as he heads back on defense before Nik even lets it go, Nik then trolling the kids in orange, the kids in orange expressing disdain for Nik, and the Dakich moon-prance all in one 4 second bit-o-genius!
chicken dance? That move is hilarious. Whatever-dude is having fun.
that he is #1?
... in this family even seen a chicken?
I dont know if Dakish can play a lick of basketball or not but giving him scholly was pure genius on Beilein's part. He simultaniously neutured one of our biggest trollers in Dad while providing much needed bench heat and support.
I was SO hoping young Dakish would get a basket last night just to hear's dad's reaction on the air.
all the better!
I really hope that Dakich remains unaware of the fact that he's gaining a following because I want his reactions to remain completely organic. It'd be a shame if he started playing up to his new fans.
Can I humbly request the Stauskas over Egwu followed by JMo on the bike saying "he just hit that over a 7 foot dude" cuz that was awesome. Thx
Brian's write up earlier was so right on the shot right before the half...it was from WAAAAAAYYYY out there.
I unfortunately missed the game, but recording the replay tonight.
*Queue Michigan Replay music...
In the first one is the kid with his hand up throughout the sequencing miming that he wants an autograph?
...just to watch Dakich in the 2nd half.
Ace, whenever you get the time...I'd like a Dakich celebration .gif highlight tape.
Watch how Spike just continues his motion back down court.
Also, I love that Caris appears for .2 seconds and then disappears never to be seen in the clip again - in fact, the guy who's guarding him also realizes that it's Stauskas that shot the ball and heads in the opposite direction before he even makes it.
He looks right at Nik shooting, gives up and jogs back down the floor with Caris who is probably already in the paint playing helpside by himself.
The pass by Albrecht on the top GIF with Stauskas is just beautiful.
That one time the ball rolled around the rim before going in: GET BACK TO WORK LOSERS!
...a Groce reaction gif, set to Metallica.
Nike has got SWAG fellas. People don't like him because he is cocky. His cockiness is what makes him lethal. He KNOWS the shot is going in. His stare downs are awesome.
Lord of the Dance
What does Dakich do when it doesn't go in? So many of his dances start right when the ball leaves the hand. Maybe he's the reason they all keep going in!
The ball KNOWS!!!
- Dakich and Dakich
Ace, we desperately need a single GIF with all the Andrew Dakich celebrations. This kid is pure gold.
isn't the reaction of the orange crush section to signify that they too have learned that Nik Staukus is Number 1?
Thanks and RIP to Dandy Don Merideth for that one.
