We will be as good next year as we were this year.  Yes, losing Try is going to hurt.  You just can't replace the best player in the country without a downgrade.  Fortunately, the downgrade may not be that bad, with a 5* hyped PG (Walton) coming in to replace Trey.  There will likely be a drop off, but perhaps not too bad of one.

As for THJ, if there was one position that we could affort to lose a player it was at the 2/3 spot, where we have another 5* hyped recruit coming in (Irvin), along with Stauskas and LeVert.

While it sucks to lose great players, every good team does, and fortunately, the players coming in fit nicely into the vacated spots.  Also, the rest of our contributors (Stauskas, LeVery, Spike and McGary will be back and will be a year older, stronger, and more experienced.

If McGary can sprinkle in double doubles, GRIII work on his iso offensive attack and Stauskas becomes more consistent beyond the arc....then add Zak Irvin to the equation....we can have single digit losses again this year. The question becomes defense.

This is awesome.  With these two plus Lewan, we're a pretty fortunate fanbase in this area.

I'm especially excited about McGary.  It's been so long since we've had a dominant big man.  I can't wait to watch him with a year under his belt.

Interesting tweets:

Beilein: Plan is to move Glenn Robinson III to small forward and play two big men."

"Chris Balas‏ @ Balas_Wolverine 8m Glenn Robinson III will play the 3 and Mitch McGary the 4 next year. They're looking to play bigger - and it's best for the kids. "

Nostalgic moment! Used to listen to this song on loop, not to mention the hours spent playing this game. I would not mind having this song play with our epic moments of the year! Maybe a Trey three (pun intended), McGary (hulk) slam, or Hardaway slammin some thunder dunk....

not that I am any sort of expert, but 6 good games does not mean you are ready for the NBA.  And GRIII oozes potential but he will only help himself by putting it together for a full season on both ends of the floor and proving he can creat without Burke

Here is quote from the conference:

On a reason why he’s coming back: “I kind of want to be a kid one more year. This is the last team I’m going to get to play for before I get to the NBA. If I get to the NBA, you’re going to be playing for a contract. This is, like, the last team. I’m a team player. I want to come back one more year and get better.”

Right on.

Sure they played as sophmores, because you pretty much had to in 93/94...  but they both bolted as soon as they could...

I am speaking more to the point that our players now love the school and don't spending any time bitching about people making money off of them...
