Chizik to Auburn, Sarkisan to Washington. Kiffin to Tennessee.
With everything that's happened over the past year, with all the losses and crap that this fanbase and team has been forced to go through, with another Buckeye defeat, recruiting wars, the trolls on this board etc etc etc...
We still have hope. I thank my lucky stars that we got a proven winner at the collegiate level and not Schiano, someone like Chuckles Weis or any of the fine folks mentioned above. I thank God that somehow that coahcing hire turned out all right despite what seemed our AD's best attempts to screw it up by tossing the fate of the program out to sea while sailing the Atlantic. Because a year on, I've changed my mind. He made the right choice.
Do you think Ames (town of Iowa State) is out there burning effigies of Chizik and cursing at his family? No. Neither is the Alabama fanbase loudly mocking Chizik during the day, and staying awake at night with visions of nightmarish 52 yard QB scrambles through, over, and around their defenses like OSU is doing right now. Because this hire instills no fear in them.
What could have become a nightmare, turned out pretty good. And soon, the rest of the college football world will know what they must face.
