I caught "Coach" Corso on with the Mad Dog on Sirius this afternoon.
When the topic came to the UM / ND game he referred to Michigan as a "really bad team" and credited "poor coaching" on RichRod and staff for the fumbles. (the fumbles!!!!)
This go me to wondering if Coach Rodriguez had:
- Slept with Corso's wife
- Not Covered a spread at WVU that cost Lee a bundle
- Always picked him last for kickball in school
- Called Corso a "Wind-bag, no-talent ex-coach" - (Instead of just thinking it like everyone else......)
- Re-activated the nightmares of his UM drubbings back in the day...
Or something along those lines...
Unfortunately, I am sure the true reason is that Mr. Corso is as lazy as most of the talking heads at ESPN.
If I had only seen the highlights on ESPN (something like fumble, fumble, ND bomb to Tate, and fumble returned for TD) I would have thought we totally sucked (aside from suckiness of the turnovers) also. But I don't get paid to "analyze" college teams.
If anyone knows a true source(s) of Corso's grudge - or some really good alternative theories - I would love to hear them.
--PS -- Was it just me or did the replay show the ND player speed up and lower his shoulder before taking out Weis?? I'm just saying that maybe the ND Alumni have spies ala the WLA.
