Bosch on the right with Mason Cole and Jack Miller.

247's Steve Wiltfong is reporting that Michigan OL Kyle Bosch is set to transfer.

Bosch started on and off as a true freshman as Michigan struggled to put their 2013 line together, then competed for a starting job last spring. He dropped off the radar in favor of a lineup with Jack Miller at center and Graham Glasgow and Erik Magnuson at guard, played one snap in the opener, and then went on a medical/personal/mental health leave for the remainder of the season.

He's back on campus now but is apparently going to light out for greener pastures with Michigan returning its entire starting five and Magnuson. Michigan still has two redshirt sophomore guards in David Dawson and Dan Samuelson, so Bosch's departure doesn't create any alarming gaps in the OL progression. It does increase the urgency for Michigan to find two or three capable prospects before signing day.

Unfortunately, Bosch has been a bust since he had been at Michigan. Recruited as a 5 star prospect, he never developed. Whether it was the coaching or whatever outside troubles he had I don't know, but I hated to watch him because 9 out of 10 times the defensive player was going to blow by him & get to Gardner.

Story stated that he came back to meet with Harbaugh and get his release papers. Also sounds like he talked with compliance about his red shirt.

Obviously, there is something going on in his life that is none of our business and that lead to him needing a change of scenery. I say best of luck to the young man.

I say good luck to Kyle Bosch.  I hope he gets whatever he needs to have a great life.

I expect to see some attrition over the next few weeks.  I hope the board continues to be as classy toward those leaving as we usually are.  I am not going to see any transfers as negatives, no matter what position the person plays.  If another five schollies or so get freed up for Jim Harbaugh to work his magic with, I will be delighted.

If nobody else transfers, that will be fine, too.  Harbaugh will make his intentions known to everyone on the roster soon as to what kind of effort he will expect.  Some will resonate; some probably won't.  Every player who leaves opens the door for another one to walk in. Hopefully, those players find their places in life and Harbaugh finds great players to fill their spots.

In other words, everybody wins.

There will always be attrition with coaching changes.  Bosch's situation may have nothing to do with that, who knows.  Either way, Michigan will be fine going forward.  When Bo came in, from what I read,  A LOT of guys left the program.  I don't expect anything like that now though.  Those who stay will be champions.

I was really looking forward to seeing what him and Dawson could do as upperclassman.  They both came accross as aggressive guys with a mean streak that could really give our o-line some of the toughness we've lacked in recent years.  Oh well, best of luck to him wherever he lands...unless we play them.

Apparently our hot streak of good news came to a screeching halt at some point yesterday. Hopefully the Bball team can turn it around for us tomorrow.

First Chris Clark is all like "wooooo Harbaugh, GO BLUE!"...then he's like "but UCLA is my leader"

Then last night it's a flag...then they pick it up.

Yesterday Anderson was coming to A2...now he's staying.

Yesterday Turley and all his S&C goodness was coming to A2...now he's staying.

Yesterday Vince Marrow was 98% taking the Michigan job...he went with the 2%.

Hours ago Bosch was all "I'm back in Ann Arbor!!"...now he's like "haha, only to pick up my shit and GTFO."

SIX dong wishy washy dong punches right in a row, did we celebrate too much? What happened? Why do we deserve this back and forth?

...what in the world is going on?! Don't you people know we've got JIM HARBAUGH! (we've still got Harbaugh, right?)

I use this quote probably 2-3 times a day and I don't even love the movie like people who love the movie...love the movie.

Another quote I love to use on a daily basis is..."WE'VE GOT TO KEEP OUR COMPOSURE!!!"

Oooh, and the Catalina Wine Mixer...whenever people at work start freaking out about something we've all done 1,000 times and is really no big deal, I love to pull out the Catalina Wine Mixer.

It'll be something silly, like we'll host the first round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament and everyone gets all tight-assed because the game has "NCAA" in it. Even though we've already had 20+ home men's and women's matches that year, we're going to freak out because this is the first round of the women's soccer tournament against some other random team for the right to get blown out by an ACC school. It's craziness.

Marrow was never really 98% from anyone legit, but Sam Webb's source said he was 98%; I don't think Sam or anyone UM directly related was that confident.

Anderson I didn't get the sudden "He's coming!" hype, espcially since Durkin was a near lock already and getting both seemed unlikely at least to me.

Chris Clark also said a bunch of a weird stuff like how "ucla is the leader now, but I think Michigan has an edge" that doesn't make any sense. I think he's just really confused and confusing as it is.

So I guess not all the dong punches are that bad maybve..

The story also indicates he will get his RS despite playing 1 whole snap in 2014 per compliance which is nice for him.  Would have been ridiculous for NCAA to take away a season for 1 snap but based on their pot rules I put nothing past them.

While I would prefer Bosch stayed here as Brian said for depth chart reason it probably helps UM in a backwards way as our OL guys are all very heavily concentrated in the 2012-2013 classes and seeing more balance across different recruiting classes is better long term.

is UM starting to feel like Bizarro World since Jim was hired, haha? He tweets that he's back in AA and seemed happy just a bit ago but apparently he was back to say he's leaving (no hard feelings, just funny). Then we get a legit "hello" post about an A+ hire at S&C only for it to be the fastest reversal of an hello post in blog history. He was coming to UM for a total of 5 mins but still apparently told a recruit he was coming. Then, we are pretty sure we're nabbing a great recruiter from Kentucky to the point that most said it was a done deal & he was giving UM recruits the vibe that he was coming. Nope (again, for reasons I get). It just seems Bizarre sound here lately and I can only hope it's a good sign because things have been terrible around here outside of stuff like this (not reported until happening, assistant hires having a leg standing in both jobs, kids happy to be back only to leave ASAP, etc. Haha, it's bizarre.
