So, I had always pronounced the Darryl of Darryl Stonum as "DARE-ill" (or maybe more like dare-uhl, but I like ill), but yesterday I was watching the Troy Woolfolk interview, and he pronounced it "duh-RILL" (or something along those lines, maybe duh-RELL). Does anyone know how to say it correctly? I don't remember specifically hearing a credible source say "DARE-ill" but I'm sure if one said it another way I would remember, and I don't.
Kinda-OT: Quick question about the pronunciation of Stonum's first name
it's like the whole forcier debate that happened quite some time ago. is it FORSEE-ER or FORSEE-A. everyone pronounces it how they feel.
For what it's worth, I worked with a Daryll at one point, and he pronounced his name dare-ill.
Is there an "I can't tell how to say his name because he slurs it" joke in here?
"Hi, I'm Larry, this is my brother Darryl, and this is my other brother Darryl."
He calls himself "DC."
Haha, thanks guys. I just thought it'd be sweet if was pronounced "duh-rill."
