Apologies if already discussed, but I didnt see it on the board.
According to Rivals:
"After losing his starting position and playing very limited minutes the second half of the season, Michigan sophomore point guard Kelvin Grady has decided to transfer from Michigan. Head coach John Beilein announced Grady's decision to transfer in a press release today"
Thoughts on the loss? I personally would have liked to see him get a little more playing time. I can't figure out why he couldnt have been coached into a better defensive player, being that he has tremendous quickness and coordination. With the departures of cj lee and david merrit, this pretty much leaves the PG spot up to douglas and Morris (a tru freshman). Douglass handle is avg at best, and Morris will obviously be lacking experience, which doesnt combine well with the fact that he is said to be somewhat turnover prone. Having grady would have at least helped against full court pressure or good on the ball defenders.
overall i think grady had the potential to really contribute. but hopefully morris will develop into the player that this program needs to run the point, in which case the loss will be less severe.
