I've heard NOTHING but good things about Je'Ron Stokes visit so far. Don't expect a commitment while he's there, but that's how good it's going.
well that's just, like, your opinion, man
He must love the taste of snake oil.
Am I allowed to make this into a dirty joke?
"I love the smell of Snake Oil in the morning..."
Bryce who? His decommitment was a blessing in disguise, hopefully if Stokes commits. I am so stoked. (Please disregard that last statement)
Blessing in disguise implies that we could only get one or the other, and that Stokes is much better. I'd say it's 50/50 who's better, and we COULD have had both if Bryce stayed.
I've seen enough smoke and read enough first hand reports about Bryce being all about Bryce to comfortably be in the "addition by subtraction" camp in regards to his decommitment.
Were we still going after Stokes when we had Bryce?
I don't believe so. I believe Stokes came onto UM's radar when they started looking for Bryce's replacement. Got real lucky with Tennessee's situation, too.
Then I take back my comment.
sweet? i love ya TomVH but give me some subsance. do we have him or n?#?#?#?#??#?
I think this link deserves posting:
Beaver enjoyed his visit too. We all know what a liar he was. Not saying that Stokes is lying but do you really think a recruit will say he's having a bad time and he can't wait to get the hell out of there? No. So all temper yourself and celebrate if he decided to study and play for Michigan.
Well considering distance is a factor for Je'Ron's dad and Michigan is the closest school out of the ones on his list...(Penn State won't be getting involved if they land Justin Brown like they expect to)...
Beaver lied to everybody about everything...hard to assume that Stokes is going to do the same thing.
just to re clarify, I am not hinting that Stokes is lying but there shouldn't be any cryin by anyone on here if he opts for another school. Most recruits have a great time. Hell, Dorian Bell had a great time at UM but then he went to Ohio State and had a better time. Those $500 bills and rides in TP's Hyundai Sonata probably helped.
they say hyundai's are the quickest way to a recruits heart
Since not many have any respect for the name brand Hyundai, buying a recruit one isn't considered a gift. Now, knowing a thing or two about cars, I can honestly say Hyundais are actually pretty good cars these days, especially the Sonata. The Genesis, for the $$$ and features, is the best buy out there.
Any word on any of the other recruits that came in this weekend? Seems Stokes really enjoyed himself up here.
First off awesome news. But I have two follow up questions.
1. Did he say why his visit was going great? I assume he went to the bball game tonight and likely has been talking to various coaches and other players, but just wondering if there was something that stood out for him as great.
2. Who is hosting this young man?
what I want to know is if Gallon is having a good time. The way this recruiting year has gone, its not too much to think a January official from a Florida kid could do more harm than good.
good news. Hopefully his visit will pave the way with the recruitment of his lil brutha. A blown away visit can only help...
His last visit was supposed to be next week with Penn State right ? Or was there one more visit in between? If Penn State is the last one, do we see a commitment soon? Penn state recently received 3 recruits for a total of 25. One of them was a WR. Do we see him committing after a return home and a talk with family or friends ?
Illinois is next week, and Penn State is on the 30th. PSU just stole a WR from Rutgers, and they feel great about their chances at 4-star Delaware WR Justin Brown. If they land him, who knows how much push they put on Stokes.
