my mental stability was hanging in the balance.
Not.
Buncha gotdam drama queens around heah.
What we've just experienced is one of the most insanely idiotic things we have ever gone through. At no point in these rambling, incoherent responses were we even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to this. I award us no points, and may God have mercy on our souls.
I love Billy Madison haha

Why isn't RichRod still trying to add him? Aren't we desperate?
April 17th, 2009 at 10:34 PM ^
Yes, thank you.

Five years from now, no one will believe that a Duke basketball player tried to transfer here to play QB. This is has great trivia potential.

His name is Greg Paulus.

JUST IN....
According to an ESPN source "close" to the program, walk on Jack Kennedy says he has been told by Rich Rod that he has the chance to compete for the starting quarterback position at Michigan. Reportedly, Jack was seen at practice on Tuesday, and unlike Paulus was dressed and throwing. Which begs the question, who will start more games this year at quarterback, Mitch Mustain or Jack Kennedy? My God Rich Rod has sh*tted all over this program. Go F**k yourself big-ten.

Most RCMB members should have been stains on the bathroom wall.

i guess i'm dissapointed that we didn't add another qb but i am so happy all that hullabaloo with tate and espn and facebook groups is over
jeez aren't you guys just pathetic. move out of grandma and grandpas basement and get a life and some perspective. RR has 3 scholarships to give out. only 2 Qb's are really ready for the spread option. if some dude on a one time basis can give us some depth without hurting future scholarships why not try and see what happens. has anybody ever heard of a "walk-on".
It's moot, but Paulus would have been the first walk-on in history to have made appearances on PTI and Dan Patrick to talk about it before playing a down.
This is a football website not a video game website, crocidile dundee
you just told a bunch of college students to get a life for talking about paulus...... and then you go on to do the same thing, on the same exact site..at 2:25am on a friday night....
only a minute before I have to go to work so I don't have time to read all the new stuff but I just saw on ESPN interactive (dish) the very first headline is that Paulus will compete for the job. Any info on the contradiction would be helpful thank you.
I'm sure that in its epilogue, the WWL will find a way to infer that Paulus turned us down, just as it found a way to infer that there was an actual scholarship offer in the first place.
well i have nothing to bitch about now. go blue.
April 18th, 2009 at 12:23 PM ^
You can always bitch about the distraction it caused.
I heard Hansbrough is not going to be drafted, can he play QB?
April 18th, 2009 at 10:57 AM ^
It's back! Let the debate continue!
April 18th, 2009 at 12:56 PM ^
Thank God this is finally over.
A full 24 hours after it was announced that UM is no longer interested in Paulus, ESPN still has a "Paulus may vie for UM QB" story as one of their college FB home page items. Must be the same source that had Miles already inking his contract to come here.
I've been out of the loop for a week or so ... what's all this about Ron Powlus having a year of eligibility left and coming to play at Michigan?

Denard Robinson is fast, and I mean blazing fast.

They're also reporting that the Hindenburg just exploded, the Japanese have bombed Pearl Harbor, and a man landed on the moon.

but still no updates from SI, Cbssports.com, yahoo sports or mlive. Look I really don't care about Paulus (it wasn't about him so much as it was about creating a culture of competition), but it's now officially strange that a few days after scout broke the story no one else has followed up.

whole thing is dead, but actually it's perfectly symptomatic of the cluelessness of most "professional journalists" and the media empires they work for. They prefer to settle on catchy, headline-worthy angles—Rodriguez destroyed irreplaceable files, RR hates family values, RR told all fans to get a life, and now RR is "desperate"—regardless of the easily obtainable factual evidence disproving all of them.
Did you guys hear that Beano Cook just guaranteed that Greg Paulus will win two Heismans???
