Sam Webb:

Sources indicated late Friday afternoon that the Michigan football program is no longer exploring the possibility of adding former Duke PG Greg Paulus to its fall roster.

We can all return to our normal lives now, yes?

What we've just experienced is one of the most insanely idiotic things we have ever gone through. At no point in these rambling, incoherent responses were we even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to this. I award us no points, and may God have mercy on our souls.

I love Billy Madison haha

Five years from now, no one will believe that a Duke basketball player tried to transfer here to play QB. This is has great trivia potential.

JUST IN....

According to an ESPN source "close" to the program, walk on Jack Kennedy says he has been told by Rich Rod that he has the chance to compete for the starting quarterback position at Michigan. Reportedly, Jack was seen at practice on Tuesday, and unlike Paulus was dressed and throwing. Which begs the question, who will start more games this year at quarterback, Mitch Mustain or Jack Kennedy? My God Rich Rod has sh*tted all over this program. Go F**k yourself big-ten.

jeez aren't you guys just pathetic. move out of grandma and grandpas basement and get a life and some perspective. RR has 3 scholarships to give out. only 2 Qb's are really ready for the spread option. if some dude on a one time basis can give us some depth without hurting future scholarships why not try and see what happens. has anybody ever heard of a "walk-on".

only a minute before I have to go to work so I don't have time to read all the new stuff but I just saw on ESPN interactive (dish) the very first headline is that Paulus will compete for the job. Any info on the contradiction would be helpful thank you.

A full 24 hours after it was announced that UM is no longer interested in Paulus, ESPN still has a "Paulus may vie for UM QB" story as one of their college FB home page items. Must be the same source that had Miles already inking his contract to come here.

whole thing is dead, but actually it's perfectly symptomatic of the cluelessness of most "professional journalists" and the media empires they work for. They prefer to settle on catchy, headline-worthy angles—Rodriguez destroyed irreplaceable files, RR hates family values, RR told all fans to get a life, and now RR is "desperate"—regardless of the easily obtainable factual evidence disproving all of them.
