Does anyone know when our non-conf. opponents will be be announced and who exactly (i think Western is one) they will be? Any inside info?
Notre Dame is one as well, but that's a given. So far, all I've seen is WMU and ND.
unless it is set, i wouldn't be surprised to see some big cupcakes. maybe we try to tango with a 1-AA again
I want to play The Citadel
Mars Hill to honor Zoltan in his senior year.
If we go 1-AA why not Western Illinois University. I will assure a win against them, they are losing all of their decent players, so we would have no concerns against them. They took Arkansas to the final second this year and gave LSU a game for 3 quarters a few years ago, so they tend to be half way decent.
The only reason I suggest them is I graduated from there
Here's a bold prediction: Michigan wins all 4 non-conference games next year. All will be at home, the toughest opponent being ND. Not exactly mission impossible. 4 non-conference wins, 4-5 Big Ten wins-- lets face it, the Big Ten sucks. And we won 2 conference games this year, probably should have beaten Purdue and Northwestern. We'll get those games next year. So to summarize, cream puff schedule will translate to 8 or 9 wins, Alamo Bowl trip, and excitement for the Rodriguez Era to really take off in 2010.
seems reasonable, MSU will probably be worse next year since they lose ringer. can probably beat IU, MSU?, Illinois, Purdue, and maybe pull another out somewhere? if we get to 8, i'll be a happy man
Indiana is the Big Ten opener, played in the Big House. So no road games, no ranked opponents in September. I wouldn't be surprised to see U-M 4-0 going to East Lansing Oct. 3
I feel like we're Minnesota from 5 years ago... let's go 10-2 and finish 6th in the Big Ten. I love it in a way I don't understand.
