HTTV Release Party Photo Gallery
I apologize for posting this so late. I meant to do it earlier, but my 2 year old daughter decided to do a swan dive off of the couch and break her arm. First haircut and first broken bone in the same day, not bad.
Big thanks to Heiko for manning one of my cameras and taking the majority of the photos below. Enjoy!
IGOR!
Brian had to sign his name well over 400 times yesterday. This photo was approximately number 50. He was very excited!
Tacopants was in the house..He shot this photo.
The photos that I am in go towards evidence that I am not exceedingly photogenic, but nonetheless, these are awesome photos. For as long as I was able to stay, I had a blast.

none of the ones with me in them were printable! that or they'd already reached the bearded-white-dude quotient for the photoset.

I think they were trying to shop but got caught up in the release party, girls don't exist on the internet
so we could hit a brewery or two afterwards. She's the one working on the sucker (needed video instead of a still shot for that).
She's awesome as hell and still looks great at 50. I'm pretty sure we were the oldest attendees.

Yeah, whoever the girl is in the first pic of the post, what's up? hahah.
Denard has spent the offseason working really hard and smiling at people.
Spoken of for years...never effected.
I would tailgate with the blogosphere but it seem that everyone has their tailgate and is somewhat reticent to give that up for a week.
Maybe if it was for a specific game like STAEE this year...

So. much. facial hair.

"It would be a travesty, it would be ridiculous to all of a sudden come back and get the feeling back, get the health back, feel good again and then all of a sudden go throw some other colors on my shirt and go coach."
That's the first thing that I noticed too. Second was that American men dress like children.

And the place wasn't air conditioned. It's amazing you didn't see us all passed out.

It doesn't matter if it's 5 or 95 or if you're going to work or the beach, Korean men wear suits, especially black suits. I don't take it that far but I do usually go with business casual when taking out the trash. Wearing a t-shirt in public would be like going outside without pants (which most of you also seem cool with). I guess it's just strange to suddenly realize that I'm probably the only person here who doesn't own any Michigan apparel and that if I ever returned to the town in which I was born and raised, I would feel out of place.
Between mgovideo, living overseas, and always dressing up, I'm picturing you as Kim Dotcom.
"It would be a travesty, it would be ridiculous to all of a sudden come back and get the feeling back, get the health back, feel good again and then all of a sudden go throw some other colors on my shirt and go coach."
LOL new user name in effect until I sober up.
Who is this guy? Easily the money shot of the day.

I'm pretty sure that guy has some sort of mental handicap and/or had brain surgery. At least that's my guess by the scar on the back of his head. You might want to tread lightly...
that's just a picture of a girl with nothing around her, right?

I realized just how drastically low my michigan apparel was saturday when I realized that A.) I only have two michigan t-shirts any more and B.) both were dirty.... hence the Che Guevera shirt (communist revolutionaries love michigan football)....
I have a lot of michigan hoodies and coats, winter stuff, but not enough summer stuff... time to go shopping!
ps. I wish I could go outside without pants on but sadly no one wants to see that so I am 'oppressed' into wearing pants every day...
We are the dead.
communist revolutionaries love michigan football
Steve Szabo is not so sure.
Do you think he really reads the 'Daily worker' before practice every day? I sure hope so. lol.
good pull Thorin
We are the dead.
I like to think of my self as some sort of modern member of the brotherhood, hence 'we are the dead'.
sidenote: I read 1984 at least once a year and consider it the most important book ever written (import due to both it's prophecy and the real wisdom/understanding of what power is)
We are the dead.
You are not the only one. Men's fashion in America is pretty deplorable...children indeed!
Congratulations to Brian and the rest of the staff. A great accomplishment.
Wished I could have been there, sorry to the OP and his daughters arm.
BTW, when is Brian's first haircut?
Semper Fidelis
for the next Photoshopping thread; now I have new ammunition!
But seriously, I wish I could've made it to the release party. Great work by everyone involved with the magazine.
Someone told me that each equation I included in the book would halve the sales.
No photobombs? Is Brian wearing red? I'm confused!
Wish I could have been there, looks like y'all had fun.
Touchdown Michigan!
Am i the only one trying to figure out who is who in the pictures? Not real names but their MgoBlog persona's. It would be way cool if the pics had captions like "Section 1 explains his Free Press theroy to OMG Shirtless while RDT-WIAG listen in".
Yeah. I agree that it looks like Igor = The Man, but who is Igor? (Existentialism aside.)
"It would be a travesty, it would be ridiculous to all of a sudden come back and get the feeling back, get the health back, feel good again and then all of a sudden go throw some other colors on my shirt and go coach."
well to start, he's my father. (for real)
Second, he's an immigrant from the Soviet Union who adopted michigan football to replace soccer, his first fanatical love.
He's also crazy, prefers to pace around the house watching parts of the game on 3 different TVs when things are going well, and following the game on the internet when things are going bad. He kicks my mother out of the house during games because she's bad luck.
And he hatest Michigan State with every fiber in his body even though my sister went there.
He's a Michigan Man.

I've sent so much money to the school for my son, I figured I might as well root for them. So he gets something out of it.
"I love him, he's a great coach, he's a great mentor, he's a great friend. He's every single thing you want a college coach to be, and he does it flawlessly." -David Molk
What about any of that is "crazy"?
Wait, do you mean to tell me that pacing around in front of a TV for four hours and then not letting my wife watch the last play of the Sugar Bowl b/c she hadn't been in the room before and might "jinx it" was somehow a crazy thing to do? Now whose talkin' crazy!?
"Nobody cares what you think!"
I was going to buy one of the shirts earlier this week at UGP, but all of the t-shirts are $19.95 there. What gives?!
"It would be a travesty, it would be ridiculous to all of a sudden come back and get the feeling back, get the health back, feel good again and then all of a sudden go throw some other colors on my shirt and go coach."
and I love that shirt. but I didn't make the party
"Over? Did you say, over? Nothing is over until we decide it is!"
But Seth had it on in the pics. There were other shirts, as you say. Was surprised/happy to see they weren't all just the "mascot" shirt masterpiece.

..sopogon, talking to someone who I need to email back today so thanks for the reminder.
(I'm, like, wearing a nametag in the photo!)
And that's my favorite shirt! Brian gave me crap for being the guy in the band who wears the band t-shirt to the show. I said if we're trying to sell t-shirts, why wouldn't we have the best-looking person modeling it?

(Blogger alias: "Misopogon") This team is under construction. We thank you for your patience.

Really wish I could've been there!
