the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
I really wish I could attend, but I live out of state. I look forward to getting my Kickstarter version of the thing soon!
I came here to find the first comment like this & throw in my lot with it. would absolutely come if I were back home in the Wolverine State. have a blast, everyone! I'm gonna order the mag for sure, I'll be super pumped for it to arrive in my mailbox.
When the Kickstarter tour makes its way to Atlanta, I am sooooo there.

Open invitation: if you can put me in touch with your city's alumni group and we can convince them to scrounge enough for two round-trip Delta tickets, I can probably make it happen, especially if it's New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, Seattle, Phoenix, or Denver. Chicago too I guess.

This is weird-- what happened to the subject line?* Ah, well.

*EDIT: Did my computer just switch to some phone app?
Brian+Seth or Ace, perhaps? Either that, or Brian is a passenger of size.
"It would be a travesty, it would be ridiculous to all of a sudden come back and get the feeling back, get the health back, feel good again and then all of a sudden go throw some other colors on my shirt and go coach."
I figured Brian to do the talking, me to do the work. But I might have overpromised since Brian's still recovering from his surgery so he may not be up for it. I know New York does its own thing too.

I'd be there but I'm attending a wedding. Have fun.

I understand the vast majority not being in the area....but only 9 in town?
"I love him, he's a great coach, he's a great mentor, he's a great friend. He's every single thing you want a college coach to be, and he does it flawlessly." -David Molk
Like the majority of readers, I'm out of State, so won't be there.
However, here's a suggestion. Maybe some year mgoblog could have a tailgate for a meh game in Ann Arbor. It is always dicey to find tickets for a game like Michigan State (let alone ND or Ohio.) But it is a lot easier to find a ticket for a MAC snack, or an early bottom feeder Big 10 game. Looking at this year's schedule, UMass is the best choice. (Air Force is home opener, Illinois is homecoming, and Northwestern is too late in the season.) I remember that Jamiemac used to post where he was hanging out. If mgoblog did that, I'd gladly walk by to share a brat, put a face with an mgousername, and maybe buy an mgoshirt or mgotchotchke. I'd be willing to kick in the requisite token fee to attend the party. And that is the most likely way that I'll end up in Ann Arbor.

A few years ago we talked about doing that at a spring game. MGoJen was even going to make cookies. I even bought beer, but when the day got close, everyone backed out. Than we all started hating each other over Rich and Michigan Football and it faded away. Might be a good time to try again.

Depending on who was going to be there, that could be amazing. I would definitely be down for an MGoTailgate this season with cookies and beer (yes, this would include a two-person tailgate if nobody else on the site is willing to tailgate with justingoblue and M-Wolverine [three I guess with megangoblue, and four/five with HookDamnHorns and BoomerFuckingSooner, my other MGoAccounts]).
We could agree beforehand not to hate each other over RR and Michigan Football.
Go Blue!
I'm going to lobby wifey to let me throw a tailgate for the Ohio game if we're in town. We live 1.6 miles west of their stadium. All will be welcome.
I would love to go to a mgotailgate. I have met fellow mgobloggers at most of the games I go to. I've always been too drunk to remember their handle when I get back to NY on sunday though. :(
I have had an idea kicking around in my head and have even thought of starting a board thread on is to create custom mgoblog tailgating t-shirts. Someone could design a cool front but the back would be your handle, like a last name on a jersey. The rest of the back where the numbers usually go would be your avatar. I think that would be most cool. I'm sure they would be expensive due to the customization but I'd be willing to shell out $40-$50 bucks to make it happen.

Not a bad idea, except I haven't been able to post an avatar for about a year now. I always get an error message and can't seem to figure out why.
Any chance the MGoMods blocked me because I posted scantilly clad ladies the last two times?
"I promise you we would have walked to the University of Michigan." - Brady Hoke
I think most of the regulars thought it was a good idea. Brian wisely poo-poo'd the idea, because I guess they had done one at a game before, and almost no one showed up. http://mgoblog.com/content/official-spring-game-tailgatefiasco-planning-thread
Then, I don't know, when it came to before it everyone was like uhmmm....ehhhh...

And the first (final?) sign of failure
http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/organized-mgotailgate-spring-game
I think we figured the spring game because most people don't have as big a commitment to that game as they do before real games. I couldn't imagine pulling people away from their Ohio State festivities...but U-Mass? Maybe.
There was a pseudo-opportunity last year when jamiemac made good on his claim of throwing a tailgate before ND if...some prediction happened....was it Hoke getting the job? I don't remember. Anyway, he's a man of his word, though I only remembered it after I had walked into the Stadium, early.
As the amount of people coming to this thing, it's hard to coordinate. I figured free shipping on the cost and expense would make something like this more popular....but hard to incentivize it if you can pick it up with no shipping before the date.
And I don't think we ALL hate each other now. It's just when this was going on we were are fighting together as the downtrodden after the 2009 season...it was 2010 that was the meltdown, everyone hates each other season. Starting right about MSU week. And trying to get the "Brady Hoke is our new coach celebration tailgate" would have been challenging around here. Last spring would have been good. But whatever works.

Thanks for the response. It's too bad it has never worked out. What about the t-shirt idea? That way we can identify each other before the game and have many mgotailgates as we see each other.
"Wasn't that Michigan drive just great. That's like Patton riding into Berlin." ~Bob Ufer
This needs to happen. We could easily organize something pretty low-key, maybe for Northwestern (totally non-selfish reasoning, picking that game) and it would be a good time, getting to talk to a few formerly faceless people I interact with on a near daily basis. Plus...M football.
Go Blue!
Being 20 minutes away, I don't have much of an excuse really. I have a few things going that day elsewhere in town and my wife works an evening shift at the hospital, but barring catastrophe, I should be able to stop by for a little while anyway. Saturdays in the summer tend to be packed with other things in exchange for my Saturdays in the fall being packed with football.

I will be in town actually, I have my Father's 70 birthday party that day, but there is a possibility i could come down later....
wonder how late people would stay, and if i would even know anyone now...
I live about a 3 minute walk from UGP/Charley's, but I'm not so sure I actually want to meet/see some of the other people from this blog....
I knew you lived close, Braylon -- I've seen you at Ricks way too many times for you not to be a local.
"It would be a travesty, it would be ridiculous to all of a sudden come back and get the feeling back, get the health back, feel good again and then all of a sudden go throw some other colors on my shirt and go coach."
As tempting as a chance to meet Brian is and hear him talk in unmeasured tones, family vacation takes precedence.
I will be there. I will wear my "No Mascot" MGoShirt and a sign that says "I'm Blazefire!" This sign may or may not be attached to my groin.
For all of you that might be on the fence, I thought it would be important to let you know that I, unfortunately, am not able to make the trip to attend. I hope this does not keep you away - I know that I'm a lot of fun to be around but I'm sure you'll still have fun with the others.
(obviously /s, for that that weren't sure)

Would love to show up but a newly wrecked knee & three little kids to manage make it an impossibility.
Tell you what, just give me your home adress & I'll stop by late at night sometime.

If this was an mgosleep over I would definitely make the drive up from St. Louis, but I'll just have to see all of you at the home opener in my brian photobomb tshirt.
I also can't make the 6 hour drive this weekend. (round trip from the depths of Ohio, YTOH)
But I think there needs to be an offical MgoBlog tailgate for the home opener with a Photo bomb shirt group shot. Would make a great new banner for the site.
What if when the hatches finally open out of the UFOs come thousands of 100ft Native American Indians? We're going to be watching like "F%&# those are huge Indians! Please tell me they're not huge Indians."
Tailgate story remains the same: iron rule is the blog can't intrude on Brian's football Saturdays tradition. Heiko and Ace and ChewerD are inside early because they get to be reporters/photographers. So then you're left with my fat-ass.
I thought of doing one for charity once ($10 cover/person all going to charity, and everyone brings something they made, and MGoBlog provides the spot and the grill) but on top of everything else it was a bitch to organize. And still, what's the draw if you're only getting me?
Here's a nutters idea though: we have away games this year at Ohio State, Michigan State, and Notre Dame. Perhaps we can set up an official tailgate for one of those games? We'd need to coordinate with someone on the ground. Let me talk to some people and get back to ya.

I will only attend if you send me a facebook invite.
It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.
