The Illinois game was the first game this year for me in the stands. I don't know how well this translates on TV, but there were several times I was screaming "Snap the Ball!!!" when Illinois was in defensive substitutions. There were about four times Michigan was at the line and defensive players were running off the field. The whole offense looks to the sideline, and then a few seconds later a snap. Usually 2 or 3 seconds after the last defender ran off the field.
I realize the offense is young and has to learn, and gain the coaches trust, but sometimes this seemed like a nice chance for some cheap yards. In addition to that, it puts more pressure on the defense. Hopefully, as Threet gains more confidence, he gets the opportunity to exploit this. Did anyone else notice this at the game or on TV?
In the 3rd and 4th Q, Illinois at times seemed to be in "Hurry up" mode and I think that was part of their sucess.
