what a biased piece of crap
in town for free camps
I'm waiting for the Desmond Howard suck fest with Tate Forcier. Oh wait, that won't happen.
Instead, we'll get Lou Holtz slobbering over Charlie Weis.
And Weis slobbering all over fried chicken.
You got that right! I almost puked. Herbie is just bitter about not beating UM.
always an asshole.
Really though? Of all buckeyes to prosecute.... Yes, the interview was annoying but we're looking through Maize and Blue lenses. There are plenty of Michigan haters in the Media, but I don't think I'd classify Herbie in with that crowd. I think he has much more reverence when talking about Michigan than say, Mark May.
True. He's much harder on ND which I always enjoy.
I always thought he was extremely balanced in covering Michigan, especially considering his obvious bias. I always wondered if it made him feel dirty to say nice things about Michigan.
I think he talks them up to make OSU (and consequently the Big Ten) look better.
He's not as kind to Michigan on the radio in C-bus.
Would you expect him to be kind to Michigan on Columbus radio? Think about his audience there.
Absolutely not. That's kind of what I was getting at. He's (somewhat) of an apologist on College Gameday Built by the Home Depot, but is a little more honest locally.
has there ever been a statement more true than that?
it's probably b/c he was pretty good. and only a freshmen. just a thought.
Robert Griffin was outstanding. Oh wait, he plays for Baylor. Never mind.
Let ESPN and Fox and whoever else slobber all over OSU and MSU and ND 24/7 until we play them. It's far better for us to be dismissed out of hand at this point; the last thing Michigan needs is unjustified hype. I'd rather surprise people.
is the voice of a smart man.
I like where your heads at. No point putting more pressure on our team before the season even starts than what is necessary.
If you don't like ESPN and how they fawn over certain teams, players, etc. then maybe you just shouldn't watch. That's what I've done. It eliminates a lot of frustration.
No matter what the analysts talk about, it's a suck fest. If you're watching a mountain west game, all they'll talk aboutis how much the mountain west gets screwed. If your watching a PAC 10 game, they talk about how USC is getting screwed and so on. I really have begun to avoid the national sports media unless they are actually broadcasting a game. Even then I have my iTunes playing and my TV on mute.
God knows why they aren't talking about Forcier. He's obviously the best quarterback in the country, and will inevitably win multiple championships, yet ESPN basically ignores him. What ridiculous bias.
I'm not surprised that Pryor is getting all the pub - he had a pretty good year considering he was a freshman and led a veteran team to a BCS bowl game. That said, he also lost his top RB and two starting WRs, plus that defense is going to take a (small) step back, so it will be interesting to see how he plays this year. That said, UM has far more to worry about that whether or not the starting QB of OSU is receiving undue public adulation.
Desmond Howard would never enjoy interviewing a Michigan player.
Oh wait, never mind he interviewed Mike Hart a few years ago.
Come on guys, grow some balls. It's not a big deal.
Herbie is a Buckeye and no matter how far away from tO$U he gets, a big part of him will always be a nut.
You mean a rather small part, right?
A buckeye is a hairless nut!
