ESPN's South Carolina recruiting site has a thread on its premium board entitled "Washington to…"

That South Carolina message board referenced on Friday just had a bomb go off in it:

Damn....that's a blow right there. He was a crucial guy this whole time that we shouldn't have lost.

Waiting for confirmation but this looks pretty solid.

UPDATE: TomVH got in touch with JC Shurburtt of ESPN.com and he has confirmed that Washington has committed to Michigan. Divers alarums all around. Official presser is at 3PM.

UPDATE II: I'm not going to do a full-fledged googlestalk for Washington yet since I'll be doing one shortly as part of the recruiting wrap posts that will come regularly during February, but some rankings for you:

  • ESPN: #82 overall, #6 guard, 82
  • Rivals: #213 overall, #8 guard, 4*
  • Scout: #19 guard, 3*

So two of the three major ranking services say he's a very good prospect with Scout saying meh.

If I knew a guy was wavering, I'd start a rumor that he's committing to some school besides mine. I'd try to make the rumor look credible. Then the guy who is waving is like, wtf how do they know I'm committing to their school. F them, I'm going to ____.

Huge get for Rich Rod (both in terms of size - 6'4 300 lb and talent). Also apparently we weren't even in his top 5 last summer, so heck of a job.

Some rumblings on the Scout free board that Denard is UF bound. Sucks if true. Anyone have any info? check out the numerous posts on this subject on the mgoboard in the tab on the top right of the page. In short, it seems as if info is all over the board on the this one. From what I could glean from the mgoboard posters who are following multiple sites - it is down to UM and UCF. Witty and Robinson will sign together tomorrow am at school and then give press conference tomorrow nite on the local news. Other than that, the vibe is all over the board on this one and you will find out tomorrow sometime whether your hopes and dreams have come true.

Best insult ever....from the SC thread Brian linked: "Coach Rich is an ice-crapping snow honky" rest of the post is the usual "Rodriguez is an ass look what he did to WVU fucked 'em right in the pooper by the way my love for Steve Spurrier is not at all hypocritical" crap you'd expect from an SEC fan. But "ice-crapping snow honky" is pretty golden if you ask me.
