Rawls if he can hang onto it, I'd guesss
Hello: Devin Gardner
Gardner's commitment, which was imminent yesterday, is now a fact:
Michigan received a verbal commitment from Inkster junior quarterback Devin Gardner late Wednesday. Gardner is 6-foot-3 and weighs 185 pounds. He was named to The Detroit News all-state first team after leading Inkster to the Division 3 final.
"I was surprised," Inkster coach Greg Carter said. "I thought it would be a last-minute thing. He told me he wanted his mom (Marlene McClellan) to be a part of his football experience. He knows what a Michigan education can do for him in this area when he's done playing. That's the type of conversation I had with Cam (Cameron Gordon)."
Fireworks and all that. Informative update coming, but it's going to take a bit what with a basketball game to watch. Get all the jokes about Tulsa out of your system, I guess.
Lets just "hope he stays firm"? Really?
"Oh they came to bury Michigan, but Michigan wasn't dead."
to call a doctor after 4 hours, let alone 11 months.
I think it's probably important to remember that his now-ex-teammate Cam Gordon is coming to Michigan too and it's not a long distance away from home for him.
i don't get what happened to get devin from a potential longshot to a commit so fast. i feel like i missed something
What gave you the impression he was a longshot? He had visited multiple times, been to a few B-ball games, and had us high on his list.
When is RR and Staff going to recruit the State of Michigan? Hello, there are other states in the US besides Florida.
I just don't understand why all the good Michigan talent is going to MSU. Inkster is in Florida right?
Yes, right near a little french town called Detroit (pronounced De-twoit). RR needs to stop wasting his time with these "outsiders" are start focusing on Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Kalamazoo, or as one kid told me when I was at MSU, the "good part" of the state.
Yes. Inkster is just south of Dearborn Heights near Detroit, Florida.
Sorry for the obvious sarcasm, but you deserved that.
we would really see something special!
Fourth of many yet to come in what has been already an outstanding start to the 2010 recruiting class.
I think we all were holding our breath over the depth at qb, this helps to build our qb talent level and depth as we move forward. I expect another qb/ath to be signed in this class, but this is a huge sigh of relief.
Now some DL, LB and CB's please.
our package is our package, and it’s pretty big. - Greg Mattison, Bowl Practice Presser Tr. 12-13-11.
I think they will sign another undervalued qb like Denard Robinson who is capable of playing another position.
Several of those are already on the radar. I do not expect another blue chip qb-only prospect to sign.
This is a great get, from a great hs program.

This signing shows the cycle of recruiting. In addition, does anyone really care anymore about Terrelle Pryor? If it was not for Todd Boeckman they would've really gotten BLOWN out in their bowl game. Devin will come along over the years as will Tate.
And how do you figure Boeckman keeps them from being blown out in that game? Yeah, Boeckman had more passing yards, but Pryor also had more rushing yards than Texas's entire team. Even if Boeckman did perform better, which it questionable, how does his absence make it a blow out?
OSU closes the gap in the 4th quarter, wherein Boeckman has 3 plays that account for 91 of his 110 yards. 1 of those passes, a 44 yarder, was a great pass, that drive ended in a field goal. The other 2, wr's were fairly open, and it's a stretch to say Pryor wouldn't easily complete them. Sandwiched between the drives that include those passes, he throws his lone Td to none other than Pryor. Pryor was heavily involved in every point they scored that game other than the final OSU Td. Boeckman did nothing until the 4th quarter, and even then, the biggest impact he had on a drive was 2 passes that set up a 15 yard td run. He was the best qb for 9 of their points, because of 3 passes, Pryor was for the other 12.
I hate the Buckeyes as much as anyone, but don't go posting stupid things like "If not for Boeckman they would've really gotten blown out in their bowl game."

Does this hurt us with Jeffrey Godfrey or Cornelius Jones, or are they guys you could move to another position? I know Godfrey sees himself as QB, but not too many people do except for RR.
Hopefully this stops the evil early QB commit ends up leaving bug that is going around.
or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
What is Tulsa backwards? A Slut.
What is A Slut backwards? Hunnurd bucks, git er done!
Doing the happy dance. Doing the happy dance.
So, when does he officially announce? I'm assuming it's during the weekend, but can anyone enlighten me? I've been at work all day, and they don't condone my Web browsing tendencies. Thanks.
They mostly come at night... mostly.
Could somebody tell me how many Man points RR wins with this one. Personally I think it should be around 20 and then 20 more for this one when he signs a LOI. way to go RR. Eat your heart out Spartonio.
"You're making too much out of this, I didn't go to college and look at me, I'm kick-ass"
Devin said there will be an official press conference after basketball season, and that's when he'll do interviews about it.
