the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
Hello: DeVeon Smith

Sam Webb is reporting that Warren (OH) Howland RB DeVeon Smith committed to Michigan today. Smith becomes the 16th member of Brady Hoke's class of 2013, and the 14th to earn a four-star rating from at least one recruiting service. It is St. Patrick's Day and the CCHA title game is in full swing, so the informative portion of this post will be coming tomorrow.
I hate this comment so much.
For the strength of the pack is the Wolv, and the strength of the Wolv is the pack.
It's you're not your. If YOU'RE going to insult some one at least do it right.
If you're not living for something then you're dying for nothing.
Interesting move to say the least...
however, those who stay (or choose when offered) will be champions!
We are the dead.
Why is this so long to Isaac? We would certainly still take him
I agree with the previous post that Isaac will probably look elsewhere now. With Shallman and Smith already in the fold there is a little too much competition. I would have preferred Isaac for his breakaway speed but I'm pretty satisfied with Smith.
Isaac has clearly said he is unafraid of competition.
What he says and what he does are two different things. Iv'e been following recruiting for a lot of years and usually (not always) once a position fills up recruits start losing interest. It makes it too easy for other schools to start negative recruiting about lack of playing time etc. This happens especially with top level recruits who have a lot of other great options. Having said that it makes me really respect the ones who don't care about that and really do have confidence in themselves and love the competition. I would love to be wrong in this case. Just sayin...
just seems like an overload to me.
block what I wrote all you want but it still seems logical to me.
We are the dead.
Jdon. A lot of bloggers on this site don't like facing reality when it conflicts with their fandom. I would love for Isaac to still commit to Michigan as I'm sure you would. We just tend to agree that the odds of that happening just went down to a large degree.
But in relation to the comment by Jdon above, I don't feel like Shallman necessarily plays such a prominent role in the calculus here. He's definitely a specialty player, and I would think Isaac might recognize that.
Landing Smith may still negatively affect our odds with Isaac, though. I think you're right about that. Let's just cross our fingers for some golden nugget magic on that front. At least Isaac doesn't look like he'll end up with a conference rival (unlike Smith.)
are too spoiled. Even though many blue chip guys commit early, most wait until signing day. These kids only get to experience this once, and if it were me, I would take my officials and get a little red carpet treatment, before I would commit.
It's tough being Blue in Columbus!!!
At this point last year, we did not have a single commit. Now we have 16, with almost everyone being rated a 4 star on AT LEAST one site. This recruiting class is insane, and it will likely just become more so, and the way it will get there is by going slowly, and giving the best players time to take officials and see how great of a thing we have going in Ann Arbor.
USING GRATUITOUS AMOUNTS OF CAPS LOCK SINCE APRIL 2011
love it. tremendous.
I will fucking cunt punt the next person I hear about doing something like that, and I don't give a fuck if you SOR me, I WILL FUCKING ASSAULT YOU.
aboard DeVeon. DeVeon is a hell of a back. He'll be a great fit for the offense that Michigan is building.
Of our running back prospects, he could be our best fit for the offense. I've been a DeVeon fan for a long time aka before the last week when every seemed to jump aboard the wagon. He IS a fantastic addition to the class.
Avatar is a reference to this. Go Blue!
Ty Isaac likely doesn't have the guts to commit now. Too bad, he should have pulled the trigger last weekend.

Bob Ufer would never had said that about any kid UM was recruiting.
Tradition is something you can't bottle. But it is there to sustain you when you need it most. I've called upon it time and time again.
You're an insult to the memory of the man whose name and image you've appropriated for your avatar.
Hoke just keep piling them up. I can't wait to see what this team looks like after 4 or 5 years of recruiting.
If you're not living for something then you're dying for nothing.

On the fifth night—possibly the sixth—a breeze arose.
It was cool and dewy.
I tried to think of some witty reply but that picture of Chuck just frightens me too much.
If you're not living for something then you're dying for nothing.
Welcome to the family, DeVeon! May you have an awesome career in the winged helmet!
For the strength of the pack is the Wolv, and the strength of the Wolv is the pack.
Nuff said.
Edit: Ty Issac is not afraid of competition. This commit will not affect him. Welcome to a very another very fine back from Ohio.
I'm very excited to have Smith commit. He is just what we need. I can't wait to see him running through the giant holes our OL will create for him. Poor safeties won't know what hit them.
Id rather have a guy that knows it right away then has to think about.
You know, Dude, I myself dabbled in pacifism once. Not in 'Nam of course.
We will hear many many "Touch down, Michigan!" after you are passed the ball in the red zone!
Works for me. Welcome to the fam young Dev.
If I say a duck can pull a truck, shut up and hook the sucka up!
Jackson. I know it is a high school film and a highlight film at that. Still, when I look at him run, it seems like he runs with a bit of rage.

DeVeon is an absolute beast.
One man...Goodbye....Hello Heisman
YESSS!! I'm am so happy to see Deveon join Big Blue. With the running game Hoke and Burgess are putting together with their recruited O-line, TEs, and FB, this I-formation monster will be a huge piece to the puzzle.
Time is working funny again. Greg Mattison has a phonebooth time machine he sent the secondary back to Charles Woodson's childhood in; they have emerged with ZZ Top beards, children, and skills.-BC
Burgess came back as a coach?
but doesn't something about his running style remind you a bit of Brandon Minor? He's definitely got some Minor RAGE in him. He's probably a little more nifty on the cutbacks, but still... seems like a physical, tough North-South ballcarrier.
Very nice pickup to go with Shallman in the backfield. These are tough hombres who fit into the evolving character of the team as a bunch of dudes you'd want in a streetfight. Say, in a trash tornado, for example.
"You know, for a bartender/bookie, you're pretty judgmental."
Which former U-M RB does he remind us of?
"[T]here were a lot of people predicting glorious heights for Rich; mostly the same people who are predicting doom and gloom [for Hoke]. Excuse me if I doubt their prognostication skills." -- M-Wolverine
He runs a little like the A-Train.
If you're not living for something then you're dying for nothing.
He is like Mike Hart but bigger, like Chris Perry but more explosiv, like A- Train but faster, Like Tim Biakabutuka but stronger and like Tyrone Wheatley but better at breaking tackles.
very familiar about that number 4.

we are still accepting isaac if he commits correct?
