harbaugh[1]

via Seth

It has happened. Jim Harbaugh will be Michigan's head coach starting Tuesday. The race to tell you water is wet is on in earnest, but with even ESPN grudgingly admitting it, it's 100%. These four gentlemen were the first:

John Clayton is saying it's "100%" with Harbaugh pinging NFL assistants about their desire to come with him; there is an army of comically out of touch NFL people saying the Raiders aren't dead yet without even considering what the 49ers would prefer—not the Raiders.

It's done.

Lots of effort went into securing Harbaugh to Michigan. Hats off to Jim Hackett  and all those who contributed. Well done.

I feel like the "heart" of Michigan football, will beat louder and stronger now.  There will be an outpouring of love in Ann Arbor on Tues., and from anywhere and everywhere that Michigan fans and alumni reside.

Do you think they may someday rename Ann Arbor, Ann Arbaugh???

I am literally a little misty eyed.

I grew up and learned to love Michigan through the Anthony Carter, Bo, and theJim Harbaugh years. Literally the reason why I went there. I had no idea when I jokingly chose my mgoblog user name that Harbaugh would actually come back from the west coast and choose us again. Must be something really special about the school and this man to make this happen. Wow. Hope is here again! So proud and excited for the year to come...crazy Harbooya baggage and all!

Go Mf'ing blue!

I have been so proud during this whole thing to refer people to this site. While some of the threads have been insane (and ridiculously funny), the front page reporting was awesome and always on point. I started reading MGoBlog during RR's tenure and I actually don't think there has been a day I haven't checked it since. The last few months I have practically been living here. I can't wait for Muppets on Tuesday!

Still can't believe this is happening. Every bad thing had to line up just such and we hit the Grand Slam. It feels like we're on the verge of a several year's long thrill ride.

ourselves to men with program ties, we've landed the biggest Michigan fish in the pond. And he's a barracuda who will feast on sautéed Buckeye nut-encrusted Spartan fillets for years to come. I'm ready to eat at the table. Hail to the once and future Victors!

This hire is unprecedented in college football. Our new coach ranks #5 all-time in NFL winning percentage. We're all celebrating but I don't think posters on here realize how insane this is going to be.

Are to introduce the blog to recruits that the fan base might not be privy to, reviewing their background/credentials and assessing their likely impact. If you find a user on this blog that isn't familiar with all of the above in regards to Jim "Save Us All" Harbaugh, I suggest revoking their membership. Harsh? Maybe.... But I think Jim is a tough love guy and would appreciate it in my imagination.

Also, this post feels like a middle finger to Glazer and Co. today. I don't disapprove in the least. Fuck em.

I'm a big fan of what he's done. He seems like a great guy.
Some people may not like this because of what he's just accomplished...
But I wouldn't be surprised if he steps down soon. I feel like his job was just to make this hire.
Is part of the reason Jim came because he was told part of the deal was helping in the selection of a permanent AD?
I'm by no means knocking him, but would love to see someone with AD experience running the AD. Maybe JH can do it well. But I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't the intent when he was given the interim job.
