Turns out the Internet has a rich selection of cats in party hats

The Pre-Sale for our (now-independent) preview book is over; if you have still not bought the thing, you are now out of excuses because you can buy the thing. If you have already bought the thing, you may commence your mailbox vigil. If you're in Ann Arbor or environs, you can also just walk into Moe's and buy a copy.

EDIT: Now available at all three UGP locations:

  • 1114 South University
  • 329 S. Main Street
  • 711 N. University (Moe's)

I'll put up a list of other outlets where available, when available, but one I know for sure is…

Official MGoEvent the First:

In celebration of now having the thing, THIS SATURDAY (Saturday! Saturday!) from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., you are welcome to come join us for the all-official Hail to the Victors 2012 Launch Party. Meet Brian and the MGoStaff, talk Michigan football, and show your spouse that your internet friends are really real and stuff. Answer the poll above if you plan on coming so I can get an idea of attendance.

FAQ? FAQ!

What? MGoBlog's Launch Party of Hail to the Victors 2012

Where? Underground Printing, 1114 South University, Ann Arbor, MI

Map? Map!

When? Saturday, June 30, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. –ish.

Parking? Street parking. Warning: 320-pound defensive tackles who think they're Dukes of Hazzard have recently been sighted in the area, so bring the car with the hood you don't like.

What should I wear? You look great in that MGoShirt. If you're "White Boy" from "My White Boy" you must wear the Wolverine slippers.

I already have an event that day at 3 at Middle Earth: Of course you do. #myreaders

So can I come by afterwards? Yeah, it's open-house-y.

Can I help/bring cookies? Contact Seth at misopogon, at symbol, att dot net. If it's about cookies, contact any time. Doesn't even have to be related to the party, or the blog, or Michigan if it's cookies.

When do I get my book? Kickstarter and pre-sale orders have been processed. If you have a t-shirt coming it might take a bit longer since those had to get printed and it's a different shipping mechanism.

Say 'punch and pie' or nobody will come! Punch and pie.

We'll have copies and t-shirts available there for pickup if you bought on the Kickstarter. There will also be some sort of Q&A session with Brian, Ace, Heiko, myself, Upchurch, and some of the other contributors (jamiemac should be there; Dooley, Kryk, Ross, and Chris Brown are various levels of maybe).

So, I'm a slacker and didn't contribute to the Kickstarter.  Also, I suck.  But it just so happens that I'm going to be in A^2 on Saturday, and would love to stop by and pick up a copy.  Will that be possible?  The phrasing ("We'll have copies and t-shirts available there for pickup if you bought on the Kickstarter") is sufficiently ambiguous -- I'm aware I missed my once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the photobomb T-shirt, but are the "copies" only for Kickstarters as well?

If so, drat.

But I'll still stop by.  See you Saturday!

you're giving us 5 days notice for a 2-hour window on a saturday afternoon? i feel like we must've known when this was going to happen, but if not, i won't be the only one wondering this: when do those of us with lives get our copies?

The kickstarter people got a heads up when they got the kickstarter, although we had to push the date back when we had printing problems (Buckeyes gonna Buck).

If you ordered it by mail, we've begun mailing those. About 1,000 have gone out I believe. If you ordered by Kickstarter that means you ordered it by mail.

Otherwise you can order it by mail now and the link above, and it will be processed this week and probably arrive before the 4th, or you can walk into a UGP store right now and just plain buy it. I'm trying now to get it in some more stores -- folks who bought it at a local store before should let me know which and I'll see if they want to carry it again. I'm already in contact with Detroit Metro Airport's stores and am hopeful they'll have it in there.

Sorry it came on so quick. We were hammering out the details.

Be the first to, you know, release it?

One of these days I'm going to figure whether the fastest way to get it is to order it or pick it up.

Wish I could be there. Congrats and sell several million copies.

Also wanted to note that the HTTV edition of The Blockhams will not appear online. It's an MGoExclusive!!

I've got a niece's birthday party on the west side of the state.  Enjoy the punch and pie, everyone.

(And please, don't read anything into this.  I know, I know,  you never see me, Brian, and/or RDT in the same place at the same time. Purely a coincidence. Nothing to see here)

The lady in my life is a competitive rider in the hunter horse show circuit and we need to leave for a show at 3:45 Sunday morning. We live in New Hanpshire so, sadly, as much as I would like to join you not this year.

I really would like to meet the guys that created mgoblog! Perhaps next year.

Question: if I ordered via Kickstarter is there a way to find out to which address I asked to have my purchases shipped and whether those have, you know, shipped? I've recently moved, and I don't think the the post office will forward my HTTV and shirt.

Sorry, but it's first German Park of the summer. I'll be in line shortly after 3:00, and by 5:00 I should be on about bucket number 3 of Franziskaner. Crowd coming from out of town. No can miss.

Good luck.
