Those maize stripes look like the fat shoelaces popular back in the 80's. On tv, I kept thinking, "why do they look like Run DMC?"

The design is pretty cool, but not the blisters. Too bad New Balance doesn't have a Michigan edition.

Technically Nike had the right to match the Adidas deal, but they didn't, so really they left us. But, how can you be disappointed that Michigan got a vastly superior contract from Adidas than what they had with Nike?

If you're one of those who believes the brand of shoes actually makes a difference, just remember that we wore Nikes for all of the decade-long tourney drought, including last year's 10-22 eyesore. Nike also designed those awful uniforms we wore under Ellerbe. More importantly, Adidas is paying us twice as much money as Nike did.

Come on man! Adidas specifically claim on the web : "With unbreakable cushioning that gives you more blocks, more dunks, more rebounds, more wins." Obviously the shoes work because Michigan won with those shoes!

But man is that shine on those shoes hideous. Makes me think they are toddler's shoes.
