So in an effort to think about the post-mesko punter, I began to remember some of the details about Gibbons. IIRC he also excelled as a punter (albeit not zoltan-like) at the kicking camp which was one of the benefits of offering him a scholarship. Now, given our current low scholarship limit/high commitment quantity, why would we not let him work on his kicking AND punting for this upcoming year and then use him as our punter for 2010-2011 (and possibly beyond based upon his success) while putting off using a scholarship on a punter for one more year, until we have more to offer?
