If you can help out finding articles on any of the commits, e-mail me, and I'll try to include your contribution. This week, I didn't make it to any games, but I might be able to make it to one game for next week. If you want up-to-the-minute updates of the games I attend, follow me on Twitter @varsityblue.

MI QB Devin Gardner

Last week: Opponent-focused pregame fluff. Inkster defeats Bay City Central 27-20.

The University of Michigan-bound signal caller was impressive, throwing for 132 yards on 7-of-13 passing and running for 95 yards on 15 carries.

But - except for one dazzling fourth-quarter dash that electrified the stadium - the Wolves defense kept Gardner from putting on a one-man highlight show.

This week: Inkster (3-2) @ Muskegon Catholic Central.

Last week: Stevenson defeats Novi 14-7. White did fumble the ball once. Article 2.

The Spartans had 222 yards rushing led by White’s 133 on 28 carries.

White also had 3 catches for 34 yards in the game.

Article 3:

“As long as we keep winning I don’t care how many times I carry the ball,” White said. “The team is working hard. To be around these guys is a great feeling. We’ve come such a long way since the beginning of the season. It’s exciting right now. We didn’t change a lot in the second half. People just started making plays. We’ve been focusing on making plays. I think we’re going to be the kind of team to pound it down their throats. That’s the kind of team we’re developing into.”

This week: Stevenson (4-2) @ South Lyon East.

MI WR Jeremy Jackson

Last week: Huron defeats Saline 32-20.jjacksaline.jpg

Gleichert directed the credit to his blockers, saying "our offensive line just played the best games of their lives. I'm going to give all credit to the O-line. They played an amazing game."

Senior wide receiver Jeremy Jackson, who caught eight passes for 132 yards and a touchdown, agreed.

"When the line blocks, everything goes well for us. They're firing off the ball real hard and on each and every play they're coming off with a purpose," he said.

"That makes the run and pass really easy."

He seems to be making a lot of plays in a veer offense where you would think the D knows he is the main weapon.

Is he going to put on some weight and eventually take Kogers place at tight end or is he to slight for that idea?

There has been a lot of talk about him potentially moving to tight end. I really don't think he looks like that big of a guy, and think he'll probably stay at WR or (perhaps more likely?) move to defense.

just wondering, but where do you think he would play on defense?

I saw him play last year and he struck me as being more of a finesse, passive guy. I don't know, it is just hard for me to imagine him playing defense.

If I had to guess it would seem like he has DE or middle linebacker size, but I think he is staying at WR.

Anyway...I can't believe what a disappointing season Saline is having. They were supposed to be one of the best in the area -- if not the state -- and now they're not even going to make the playoffs. Astounding.

Tim. I saw Jackson play against Bedford the past two years. I thought he looked bigger this year. He seems to have filled out quite a bit. He does not seem to have exceptional speed for wide reciever in D1. A year or two more under Barwis and he may become a great M TE. I also noticed on the board that M is pretty light on TE this year. Maybe he is the TE of the future

it IS a big deal. the schools don't really get along. pioneer is older and kind of "old money" wheras huron is the newer school. no one really cares about skyline yet. the pioneer philosophy is more of a authoritarian, run things super strict and tight, where huron is much more relaxed.

its a rivalry all right. its ann arbors version of ucla-usc. there have been fights at games. one game back when i was a student filled the stands at riverbank stadium (huron) and most of the surrounding grassy areas. they had to bring police officers in to help the school admins keep the student mobs apart.

I would imagine that Jackson and Miller will be putting their friendship aside this week. This is THE GAME for both teams every year, and I haven't seen two high school teams that dislike each other more during game week.

On a lighter note, when the teams play basketball and the team that won the football game is losing, its fans chant "football."

Is it just me or does it seem like the production of our recruits is way down. How can they not get the ball in the hands of guys like Miller more often? In a normal high school game their may be 1 or 2 D1 level athletes on the field it would seem like it would be a good thing to let these guys touch it. When I played our "star" player was getting calls from Adrian and we worked that guy into the ground and figured out all sorts of ways to get him the ball...kick off, punt return etc.. I see stats like 2 catches for 34yds and scratch my head...end arounds, quick screens, hitch pass..

with Miller's production is AAP QB is terrible. He can't throw at all and have missed Miller numerous times especially when he's wide open. Not his fault that his QB can't throw the ball.

AAP also has a LOT of talent on offense. Between those 2 sophomores, Yarrington, Clayton and Griffin you have at least 2 more D1 athletes. Add to that the fact that Miller didn't start practicing until 2 months ago and you're not gonna see great production from Miller.

Those who stay will be champions. Beat Ohio.

I'm really hoping tomorrow's edition of Wednesday Recruiting brings some good news for this otherwise 'down' week. A few "Hello: 4*, 5*" headlines would be nice.

I know I'm probably reaching...

M has just lost to Dantonio and MSU for the second straight year. This is quite ominous. When Tressell began his stint, this is how it started out. A couple of wins and a loss (2-1 in the first 3 years). We all thought no big deal, things will return to normal and we'll start beating up on OSU regularly again. 5 straight losses later, things are not looking good in that rivalry.
In many ways, Dantonio and Tressell are similar. From their hatred of Michigan, to designing specific game plans for Michigan all year long, to losing all their other big games, they are basically the same.
I'm afraid that we are about to start a long losing streak against MSU as well. Dantonia specifically prepares his team for the Michigan game, and for two straight years, they have stoned our offense. It is preposterous to see that RR doesn't seem capable of beating a really bad Sparty team. He clearly didn't prepare for Dantonia threw at him. This is epic failure from the coaching staff.
Unless RR cleans up his act, and starts game planning a bit more, we may be regularly losing to 2 of our 3 chief rivals. At least as long as Fat Charlie is at the helm at ND, we can count on one win. He goes, and we may even lose that one.

I'M THE MAN
