Frank Clark Arrested On Domestic Violence Charge Comment Count

Brian

No details yet as this apparently just happened but the Erie County jail's website has a log of all arrests and Frank Clark is on there:

If you are for some reason dubious that this guy who looks just like Frank Clark is Frank Clark, his DOB matches that on Frank Clark's MGoBlue bio.

When it rains it pours.

Ah yes, because people can always foresee situations before they happen?

You (and nobody here) likely knows what happens, but we are all concocting scenarios in our mind of what happened based on our own biases.  We have no idea what happened, and until we do saying a guy didn't display "X" or put himself in a bad situation knowingly is meaningless.

No politics (and I consider racial profiling to be a political issue). I am not going to respond to the substance of your post as it would turn this whole thread into a disaster, but how about we leave that issue for debate on Fox News, MSNBC and other political leaning outlets.

Disagree slightly, if charged, indefinite suspension. Depending on the degree to which the evidence supports an obvious conviction in the eyes of a lay person, the coach makes a judgement call whether to let him practice with the team or pull his scholly for the next year. If convicted or plea, boot him. If charges dropped, reinstate.

We don't have the full story so hold on. The allegations are serious but we do have to know if he is actually guilty of committing the offense. Easy to jump the gun and I know it is a fleeting concept in America, but we the still kind of have the innocent until proven guilty thing.

no visible injuries or a broken nose, one charged with domestic violence must be held in jail without bond until they see a judge for temporary protection order purposes. Generally, the judge is seen the next morning.

I can only imagine the circumstances, so I refuse to speculate. As of right now, Frank Clark is still a member of the football team, and I hope he has a chance to explain what happened. If he did nothing wrong, I hope he is vindicated and permitted to finish his final season.

Yeah, I thought I was just being a homer lawyer - but dang, you guys are fucking ruthless. Remind me to vett potential jurors from Now on by asking if they post on Mgoblog, dear lord. We, as in ALL of us, don't have one iota of a clue about what happened. People need to chill the fuck out, gather the facts, and then pass judgement. /rant hat off

This thread typifies the general decline in MGoBlog comments since the old days. People should be smart enough to know not to jump to conclusions. Even worse is the argument that this is Hoke's fault. That is ridiculous but I guess people see it as an opportunity to throw more dirt on him. By the way, anyone notice how Harbaugh's team is faring in the police blotter this year?

After reading this thread, I am losing any faith in the Michigan fanbase being any smarter than Bobby Boucher (the character). What part of "Innocent until proven guilty" do people not understand? Because people are not guilty until proven innocent, the system places the risk in not arresting. We really need to wait until the facts come out before condeming Clark.

He already used his felony get out of jail free card. Season is in shambles. His SY had been picking up and he might have been raising his draft stock..but no...wait ...
Let go out and do something stupid. Something life altering. Ugh.

he did something sufficient for the police to charge him with domestic violence.  (Most) everyone here understands the concept of innocent until proven guilty, but that doesn't mean that lesser ramifications shouldn't be imposed while the legal process does its job. Suspending Clark is entirely appropriate, particularly given his prior conviction.  Most here would be screaming if MSU, OSU or FSU acted otherwise.  And, if I am not mistaken, we are better than them.
