Funny you say that, I have a 'friend' who thinks Jesus was actually much like the Terminator (I'm perfectly serious) in that he had bones made of steel that could not have been broken unless he "allowed" them to be broken (as in: he only allowed the Romans to crucify him since he didn't use his super-human strength to prevent it). While he didn't use the term "Terminator Jesus", we certainly did in jest (since, of course, orthodox Christianity always has held that Jesus ~is~ truly a man and not some sort of super-human imposter).

Kinda reminds me of a question I've heard. Who'd win at a one-on-one basketball game -Jesus or Michael Jordan. Jordan without question. Jesus was too short -not to mention he'd never heard of basketball.

Um, we shouldn't confuse "Angry Michigan BLANK Hating God" with "Benevolent Michigan BLANK Tolerating God" via imprecise descriptions.

is a Capt - again - I thought he looked solid in the Indiana game - catches passes out of the fullback position. He may never have lived up to the hype, but he has been a solid contributor.

One of the brothers mentioned in a recent press conference that their Granny is still a Sparty fan, even with two grandsons playing for U of M -- maybe it's to get her goat? lol.

FWIW - I expect Kevin to have a BIG game against Sparty - even if he's just TRUCKING people in front of Minor Rage. There will be HOLES to run through this weekend.

Wow, that certainly struck a nerve, didn't it?

As an alumnus of this University, and someone who is quite sensitive about how our University and our team is represented in the public eye, I'd rather the game captains we put out there every week, especially for a high-profile rivalry game, be guys who are good examples on and off the field. A kid who was basically passed out behind the wheel of a car, whose actions brought a significant amount of bad press to our football program, and who subsequently didn't fulfill the terms of his probation after the fact and spent time in jail, is not a good example off the field.

I'm not saying he didn't pay his dues, work hard, and benefit from the structure that being on the team provides. I'm not saying they should have emptied his locker and thrown him out on the street, like what would happen in a lot of programs out there. What I am saying, however, is that the consequences of his repeated actions should include not being able to be a game captain.

We should demand more from the off-the-field behavior of our student-athletes, not reward them after they make repeated mistakes. Especially if we're going to second-guess Mark Dantonio for letting Glenn Winston off with a slap on the wrist.

Sorry, man. The second coming of Christ has already happened in Florida. Timothy Tebow has healed himself of his deathbed closed head injury that would have killed any ordinary man. Tate is merely immortal, like Highlander. There can be only two -- in the backfield.

(I apologize in advance for this post. It had to be done. Next time, though, someone else do it.)

I can't swear for a month, I have to go to church a few times, and give up some other vices for a while (intentionally vague as to which vices and duration in prayer). It's worth it.

Go get em' Tate!
Awesome captain's list.

Since he's not on the injury report, you've got to think that he's 100% perfectly healthy.

In other news, Tom Brady guy needs to sack up; that pussy has been on the injury report every week for something like the past 8 years.

(Yes, I'm being sarcastic)

Glad to see Tate is good to go. If we all take a step back and look at this guy, and I know we all have, he's really pretty amazing. He is four (that's 4!) games into his college career, and he's already established himself as the face of the winningest program in history. Not only that, but show me another freshman (at any position) who wears a sling on Tues. (in case you didn't hear, Tate had a sling on this week) and isn't even on the injury report! Clearly, Tate is not the face of our program by default, which did kind of happen in the off-season. He is working his ass off and earning every bit of respect he is getting.
