Where will you be on Saturday, September 5 when WMU comes to Ann Arbor and the Wolverines usher in a new season of football? More importantly, what will your reaction be when we score our first touchdown and it is a play that goes for 57 yards? I would ask a question about when the opposite happens, but I like to stay positive and prefer not to think about what it will cost to repair drywall.
I will be hanging out alone in my basement watching the 50" Samsung with the drapes closed sitting on the edge of the couch snacking on some snacks anxiously awaiting kickoff with my knees bouncing.(logged on to the CIL...if Brian has it)
When we rip off our first(of many) long TD's, I will most likely launch off of the edge of the couch into a 1980's Toyotaesque commercial jump, swearing hysterically and pointing at the fireplace and TV as if they caused the 3-9 Season of Death. Self-control of any kind will be lost in that moment.(unless, of course, my 4 year old daughter is there with me) Then those words will be under my breath while she looks at me with the same blank, amazed stare she had when I fell off the ladder in the garage hanging one of her toys in the rafters.
Anyone else ready for this season?
