As a regular viewer, but infrequent poster, I was mildly amused at the uproar caused by the WLA's post yesterday. I have to admit, the post was a humorous diversion during the workday. While I have noticed the WLA various members' contributions over the last year or so since I joined this blog, their collective ideaology and mascot choice escape me. Again, I do not mean this in a mean or negative way - I merely am curious about their cause. As an alum ('93), I vividly remember walking through the Diag in the Fall and Spring. Shakey Jake was at one corner, Stoney Burch was on the opposite side, and in the middle was a group that passed out fliers and would ask in hushed tones "Anyone interested in revolutionary politics?" My questions are as follows:
1) What is the WLA's unifying mantra, ideology, or revolutionary cause?
2) Why is the unicorn your mascot?
3) How did you all form your group?
Again, my curiosity is genuine and not meant to be taken in a negative way.
P.S - I am totally on board with the whole Beckinsale thing.
