really? a 4.33 wonder if it was hand timed.
“He was on the other side of the court, screaming: ‘Good shot, Kev!’” Durant said, shaking his head in delight. “I’m thinking, this guy’s an All-American type of teammate right there.”
really? a 4.33 wonder if it was hand timed.
"It's based on 40-meter times from the spring."
I thought it was 40 yards? Yeah it is fake.
My guess is that the writer of this article has probably never really done anything athletic other than run to his favorite blogsite to rag on A-Rod at every chance he gets, kinda like 99% of these FAKES that call themselves "News"reporters (News should be new, not the same thing we've been hearing day in and day out). With that being said, it is very plausible that he doesn't know what the heck he is talking about when it comes to yards, meters, and 40-yard dash testing procedures.
Just a thought...
Uhhh as I recall meters are longer than yards... Thus 4.33 = supa fake
But at that size and still one of the fastest if not fastest guy on that team? Not too shabby.
Seems people on this board aren't sold on the guy (or maybe just not sold on his arm). I don't know. I have a suspicion that because he'll have to carry a lot of the load this year, they'll be a lot of TP highlights on Game Day Final each week. Here's hoping they're few and far between on Nov 21.
40 time stuff is really getting old. Pretty much 99% of 40 times are what people are considering fake so lets just say all are fake and that most of these times are on an equal playing field (ie the fake playing field). Either way, unless a guy was timing this in his head (one one thousand, two one thousand....) it shows he is fast, end of story. Like him or hate him, the guy can run.
That's a fair point. The times themselves may be fake but the reported times relative to each other do reveal pertinent information, they can give us a way to figure out who is faster than whom at any given event.
I'd be somewhat wary of comparing FAKE! 40 times from different events though.
likely not a 4.33 guy, that being said he is pretty fast. he's also 250 lbs, dude's a tank
wouldn't that make them all real?!?!?! And, if they are all fake then why do they use this test as a determination of explosive power? OMG, I think that this site needs to come up with a set of pre-conceived standards that would validate a 40-yard dash time as real!!!
Hate him or love him, the last time he was timed he ran 4.33, this means he runs a 4.33 40-yard dash.
Fake = Having a false or misleading appearance
What makes this misleading or false?
Misleading? Not at all. He was timed at 4.33 at the same venue a number of other consistently fast individuals have been timed (i.e., Ted Ginn, Chris Gamble, etc.)
False? How? This is the time he posted, so it is true regardless of the method that you would prefer he be timed.
I hate the SUCKeyes, but damn that boy is fast!!!!
if they are all fake, that wouldn't make them all real, I'm pretty sure that would still mean they're all fake...
and for the purpose this discussion fake = Inaccurate, which is what everybody believes this time to be.
No, no -- if they're all fake, that means they're all real. Kind of like, if I play all sharps, and you play all flats, then we'll play in perfect harmony.
So, when a player runs a 40 they are inaccurate 99.99% time? Do you understand that there is no logic behind that train of thought? Just as there is no logic in a grown man calling himself R Kelly. Where have you seen fake defined as inaccurate? Some more appropriate word choices for fake would have been: false, phony, counterfeit, forged, etc. But, I am not quite sure if inaccurate really fits the bill. Inaccurate would assume that something was wrong about the testing...nothing is wrong with the testing expect for your ineptness to decipher the results for what they are. So, with that there is nothing inaccurate, fake, wrong, false, erroneous, etc.
Don't play the "stupid game" with me, you know the one. Where you try to seem smarter and more informed than me...
when did I say that 40 times are inaccurate 99.99% of the time?
why are you so angry?
try taking ten deep breaths before you respond to posts from now on, then maybe you won't feel the need to take things to insult innocent strangers through your computer.
Why is calling yourself TMAYBG20 so much more logical than R Kelly?
I consider myself a fairly smart person, but I just read your post 3 times and I have no idea what you're talking about.
Holy shit, man. That is all. Actually no, the "stupid game", yeah, I'm pretty sure you're playing all alone.
"Hate him or love him, the last time he was timed he ran 4.33, this means he runs a 4.33 40-yard dash."
Not to be a smart ass.....no, actually, to be a smart ass....it was a 4.33 40 METER dash.....
Even if this time is fake or not Pryor is very fast for a quarterback plain and simple.
Dyson Blades also ran a 4.33, but his was accutrack
Hinton pretty much knocked this one out cold today: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/blog/dr_saturday/post/Wake-me-when...
That being said, he's still the fastest quarterback in the country (as of now) with the possible exception of Robert Griffin.
I believe you're forgetting one Mr. Denard Robinson. Pryor may be fast, but he's no match for dilithium.
But Nard-Dog does have some scary quicks. Here's hoping he never develops into a competent passer.
In that article they said that a 4.33 is faster than Usain Bolt can run, which I highly doubt.
The only big man that can put up a time like that is CALVIN JOHNSON. He's also from another planet.
Lest we forget the Morgan Trent fake 40 times announced last year. They were mistaken for shuttle run times IIRC. Something like a 4.13 and the internet freaked out.
