Jackson had been previously rumored as a potential Bengals assistant and has apparently found a landing spot in the NFL. That's not great news since Jackson did a terrific job with Michigan's cornerbacks in his first year in Ann Arbor; at least Michigan returns all those guys and should be able to maintain performance. Michigan does already have Greg Zordich as a DBs coach and could hypothetically go in any direction with the assistant opening, but I do expect them to add another secondary coach given the importance of DBs in the modern game.
No, it won't be Charles Woodson. Woodson already got a job with ESPN.

Buffalo, who just hired him last month........Not sure if he's signed or about buyouts, but Ed Reed coaching with Mattison and a Harbaugh could be epic material. I'm sure they guy can recruit, right?

Big gamble leaving the comfort of the Harbaugh umbrella and going to work for Jerry Jones. Good for him if it's what he wants, but he'd be safe by keeping his eyes open for other NFL opportunities. It seems like the Cowboy's have been "next season's suprise super bowl contender" every season for the last 25 years.
I say shuffle the D staff around and open the LB coaching job for Ditka.

I think I read or heard at list for Hill, Jackson was a big sell for him. That's the way it goes though. Certainly not accusing anyone of any shady business.

when you consider what a good staff Coach Harbaugh put together quickly when taking over the head coaching position, and what a good hire most of us think Coach Brown is in replacing Coach Durkin, we have every reason to believe his next hire to replace Coach Jackson will be an excellent one as well. That said, Coach Zordich and Coach Jackson did a fantastic job coaching our secondary last year. I am bummed he is leaving after one year too, but really appreciate his outstanding service to the program. Hiring an excellent replacement for Coach Jackson is critical. Like most of us, I believe our Coach is up to the task and will find someone excellent. In Harbaugh we trust.

Loved his cool, calm demeanor. Wasn't afraid to mention specific players in press conferences, too.
