Michigan now leads the Big Ten with 4 ESPN 150's. Texas has 15! I don't remember seeing anyone with nearly that many last year. Will these rankings change a lot over next year?
FWIW. Michigan doesn't seem inclined to get re-involved.
Anybody who plays in the Under Armour game will shoot up the rankings.
jeez 15! i doubt they will keep that many though
i think they'll keep all of them and add a few more. i mean its pretty much entirely texas kids committing to texas. from what i understand your dream as a kid football player in texas is to one day play for the longhorns
Those are propective 150's. There may be 500 of these type guys floating around. They don't have their official rankings out yet. ESPN gets trashed pretty bad, but I like their rankings
I like their rankings too.
And, to me, the fact that they want to take their time before releasing a list enhances their credibility.
The top 150 will change several times between now and the final release.
I count 272 players currently on the "ESPN150 Watch" list
The best way to secure a top 5 class (if you are an elite BCS conference program, that is) is to get a bunch of commits before Scout/Rivals/ESPN dream up their rankings for that year because these services will usually assume that a kid who committed to Texas, USC, Florida, etc. MUST be really good and will, as a result, rank him highly.
