Sounds like Hudson's name is being thrown around. Seems like a great choice. Does anyone have a feeling on this one?
the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
Honestly, an average recruiter becomes a good recruiter just by showing up with the block M. He has Midwest ties, and if he can get a good year out of the D from the get go, it adds much needed credibility.
They shut down WVU (Bill Stewart version) and Tulsa this year...not sure historically speaking.

I like that he has midwest ties. Hopefully his Ohio ties will help MI recruit that state more effectively. His time at ND could serve him well in recruiting battles against them. Finally, he already has some Big 10 experience.
Also, as a side note, when I looked up a couple things about him on Google, I think one of the sites said that he rides a Harley to work. Although entirely speculative, that seems to suggest that he might have a Muschamp-like craziness to him. Hopefully he will be a good recruiter at Michigan if he is indeed the guy.
We (UVA) beat ECU 35-20, thanks in large part to two very long Cedric Peerman TD runs, on both of which the safeties committed the cardinal sin of taking an angle at Ced as if they were aiming at where he was, not where he would be.
In other words, if you don't like Stevie Brown's grasp of trigonometry, this guy may not be the one to fix it. This is based on just one game, so take it FWIW, which given the sample size may not be much. But still.

If Mel Tucker is/was at all interested he would be by far my first choice for recruiting purposes. As far as schemes I don't know anything about him, but I figure if he could get a DC job in the NFL he must be pretty good.
I wouldn't worry about the DC's impact on recruiting. Positional coaches tend to be more critical. They're the ones that are the most hands-on with the players. Let's just get the best coach we can.
his numbers look OK but word is he's an average at best recruiter.
