Wooo! Eat it! NCAA Tournament here we come! Someone get me a Klingon battlecruiser! What does that even mean? Who cares?

And, of course, you can't have one without the other…

This is ridiculous.

I sound like a big ol' choo choo train.

After 20 yrs, this morning I put in my money to join the alumni assoc. (Always planned to--procrastination). So I think the credit for this win belongs to me.

Let's be reassured that the improvement we see in this years hoops team will be the same type of improvement we see in the Big House next fall. Not much was expected out of these guys last winter and now look.

It's the season of faith and hope.

Wooooooooo muppets!!!

Watching this game was like meeting an old friend or a long-lost love that you hadn't seen in over 10 years. Half the time was spent remembering how it's supposed to feel.

In Beilein we trust! In RRod we trust! Things are looking up!!

It has been a long fall. A very long fall. But after dry-docking Sparty last night and prison styling the untouchables of college BBall, I can come in from the cold! Hopefully this sets the tone for a wonderful winter of recruiting, bball, wrestling and a hockey team putting it together! Play the f***ing song!

I haven't had that much fun watching a Michigan basketball game in...uh. Well. In a LONG time.

I confess it, Brian: I wasn't really buying the NCAA tournament talk around these parts (even after UCLA), but I feel pretty good about the idea right now.

I feel giddy. There will be losses, and ugly losses, but it's clear we're back. We're gonna get good, and stay good. And we'll have kids who stay 4 years. Think of Novak as a senior!

Oh man I just love the strong fundamentals Beilein coaches. Good passing! The back door cuts are just beautiful, especially when you can see 'em coming.

After an awful fall, this is just too sweet!

game was off the chain...just wanna say to all those people who asked y i bought basketball tickets....HA. also i am wondering how those recruits can just sit there the whole game and not go insane i mean seriously it was CRAZY. Also anyone know who were the recruits there? i know tim hardaway jr was there and campbell for football but anyone know a list of them for either or both sport?

Yep, December 12, 1997. Pretty good day for me. My first daughter was born just after midnight. Michigan/Duke was our first basketball game together. Then Woodson gets the Heisman. She had on her first Michigan outfit about three weeks later for our defeat of WSU and the National Championship. I was hoping she'd have a perfect life and never have to experience Michigan losing...

I was going to say it was the biggest since the last win over Duke (1997), when they were #1 . . . but then again, at that time we were an established program, not one looking to bounce back. So yeah, maybe the biggest since the Fab Five were frosh?

nice to see michigan torch the whiney looking white guys and their rodent leader.

After the fall, it looks like this winter is going to be a good one. watching the bball team kick some ass finally in the cozy confines of crisler. Hail to the victors and evenual big ten champs?

"Tim Tebow is a god"
- Lee the douchebag

Doesn't anyone remember Tebow getting ass raped by the boys in Blue last year. I'm so sick and tired of this shit.

Come on Oscar kick that little shit's ass.

In high school (which was recently) I was sure I wanted to go to Georgetown. Things changed, now I'm here and love it, but the result of my brief flirtation with Georgetown was that I was a pretty big Hoya basketball fan for a few years not very long ago.

I see a lot of similarities between the two programs. Great academics, incredible basketball history, had sucked for as long as most incoming freshman had been alive/aware. In comes John Beilein/John Thompson III with a finesse system to turn around the once proud program. In JT III's first year I believe the Hoyas went to the tourney, in his second year the sweet-sixteen and a top-25 finish, his third year a 2 seed and the final four. Beilein's team was in a lot worse shape when he took over, and his first year didn't go great. But, it seems to be coming together, even if it took a little longer here. Like Georgetown our signature home win over Duke has signaled to the world we're back, and I have every reason to believe we will stay prominent for a while.

When Beilein was first hired, Thompson was everything I wanted him to be. It might just be working out perfectly.

Basketball ranks after football, hockey, soccer, baseball, golf in terms of how much I follow it so this is probably a stupid post, but I needed to do something to rectify the pathetic Saturday night spent study that finals week brings so...

Good to watch the scores scroll by on ESPN and have something positive about Michigan....That was a fun game to watch. Brings back a lot of memories.
This had to leave a really positive impression on all the recruits visiting. GO BLUE!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I was there too. A few things:

1) Totally packed house. Most people I've seen at a b-ball game since I was like 10.

2) ZOLTAN IN THE HOUSE. I saw Zoltan walk by and I yelled his name. He gave me a confused look and we exchanged waves. Michigan b-ball had the blessings of the Space Emperor and it showed.

have happened.

Beilein should have been fired after that atrocity last year.

10-22. WTF! This game is about results. If he was such a great coach, we wouldn't have had such a shitty year last year. A better coach would've adapted his system to the talent he had.

I made a point to listen to Bilas most of the game, and give him credit - he wasn't his normal douchey self. I thought his tone about Michigan was pretty upbeat.

Yeah I really liked Bilas last night. He lays it on thick sometimes, but he knows what he's talking about. Basketball color announcers are in general better than football because in football the different positions are so different.

For example, I have trouble listening to Andre Ware talk about offensive linemen, just like I have trouble listening to Chris Speilman talk about quarterbacks.
