Devin Gardner removes tO$U from list
Per Josh at TheWolverine, Devin Gardner had tO$U removed from his Rivals profile. He is no longer considering the Buckeyes.

BWAHAHAH!
ahh, that would make me very happy!
Michigan Wolverines: 874 wins, .740 winning percentage, 42 Big Ten Titles, 11 National Titles, 3 Heisman winners, and 150 consensus All-Americans
It's real.

He's silently committed to the Buckeyes still, but by saying he wants himself removed from the Buckeyes list, he will increase other schools interest, wasting coaches time until he goes to tOSU just to spurn all of us.

For all of your obscure college wrestling blog needs
i think the silent commit that sweater vest was refering to is OH lb scott mcvey. complete speculation though
That's chapter 1, would you like to have chapter 2? You better you son of a bitch, I know the way.
It's still February. Marvin Robinson at one point supposedly told OSU to quit recruiting him, yet his latest top 4 includes OSU. Kids will be changing their minds quite a bit.

there is a lot of talk about MR's coach being a huge OSU fan and using his position to make sure OSU gets a fair shake.
that he pull a reverse TP. This is just as good in the end though.
or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
he was scared off by the idea of a Junior Threet but now that Threet transferred he's gonna commit.
going to offer Montanna's son. Just as good...I don't want to see DG playing for the darkside. Hopefully R2 will make a good case for him to stay instate and play for the Maize & Blue.
Maize & Blue...nothing better!
and thanks for the tip. Can we quit the tO$U stuff though?

This sounds like the proverbial "They're not showing me enough love" drop
I am pretty sure they hadn't even offered him yet... so he probably just dropped them due to that.

In all seriousness, Ohio State has three quarterbacks for now, and Pryor may stay his senior season if his passing doesn't progress enough. Nonetheless, Joe Bauserman is a capable backup who will graduate the same year as Pryor, and Kenny Guiton is a good insurance policy. Really not a huge loss for the Buckeyes.
Though I will shrink a little in the pants if Nick Montana
throws his life awayends up signing with Chubby Charlie and the Field Goal Factorywww.weoncehadtempe.com
Navarre?
i only respect other superfans
Correction... if Pryor goes down, OSU is in deep trouble at the Qb spot. Bauserman has done nothing to prove he is a capable backup, and Guiton is very lightly regarded.
I have read that the Suckeye faithful refer to this as "Pryor and Prayer."

Bauserman is a back-up, but he has shown all the hallmarks of being relatively competent in his limited time on the field; he looked like the best QB on the field in the spring game, and was well-regarded coming out of high school.
Guiton is a probable redshirt, but given that he had a couple other BCS offers, I don't think he is our own Justin Feagin yet.

Tressel has won with mediocre QBs before
In fact, Tressel hasn't won jack with (statistically) his best quarterbacks.

Do you guys know how big of an issue playing time would be for him? It seems like these days kids want to play early and often, but it hopefully wouldn't be possible here. It seems perfectly reasonable to me for him to come here and start his junior and senior years, but I'm not a big high school prospect.
Its only bc OSU isn't offering him. Prob not giving him any love. My cousin is from ohio, he liked OSU growing up, but began to hate OSU bc they wudnt look at his tapes. This was also in 90s so tapes were diff than now.
Es bueno, Inglés es mi segunda lengua también.
great and omniscient Grand Poobah of the WLA
wudn't go thurr dex,

Divertido. Muy bueno.

We're not arrogant, we're just better.
He knows that although power awaits him in Mordor, he still has to bend over for Sauron whenever the dark lord bids. It's no way to be. And the orc women .... nasty.
That's right, Dude. 100% certain.
OSU is definitely going all in on Nick Montana right now. He is currently in Columbus and there are rumors that he will soon commit. If he ends up going elsewhere, OSU may really be in trouble at the position since they haven't offered or even showed a lot of interest in any other QBs.
It is pretty important that OSU add a good QB this year as well. It really seems like Guiton was offered as a practice arm and Bauserman's a solid backup but iffy as anything more than that. Unless OSU's counting on Braxton Miller to come in and start as a true freshman or redshirt freshman, the time is now to find Pryor's heir apparent.
If Tate or D Rob have a great year then I think it will probably be hard to lock this kid up. If I get what I want TF or DR will have a great year and will lock up the starting position which will probably cause DG to go elsewhere, but to find out that he is not going to tOSU is music to my ears. I don't know where his offers have come from thus far but I don't think he would even consider MSU because MD does not run a spread. PSU has Newsome who will probably start in 2010 so I think this kid will probably go to a different confrence. I would not be surprised to see this kid go to the SEC. they seem to be the teams getting the major coverage and getting all of the respect. Perhaps he may go west coast. I don't know if USC would be a good place for him if he is looking for playtime but Cal may be a good one for him. Tedford likes to run a spread.
use the Forcier Rich
may the Forcier be with you.
emerges as the dominant starter, you sell Gardner on a D-Rob position switch + a redshirt and 2 years as the starter, with a possibility of a third if Tate bolts early to the NFL.
I realize thats a lot of leaps, but if Forcier finishes the 09 season looking like he's got a choke hold on the starting spot, then thats how you have to sell it.
Zook would be somone to watch. I like his recruiting prowness, when you least expect it...BAM! Howver Les Miles or Tenn might really get involved with his recruitment full blast in the coming months also.
Maize & Blue...nothing better!
That would be scary
Florida has already landed Trey Burton, who some Florida fans are calling the next Tebow. I wouldn't worry too much about them. LSU is definitely a threat, but as long as Michigan has a decent season (6-7 wins), we should be in a good position to land Gardner.
we are in. Unless Russell Shepard is an immediate bust, they've got to convince Gardner that he won't sit for 3 years behind him and hope to beat out whoever comes after him for a year or two (at best) as the starter.
that OSU was not his leader.... I've been saying it all along.
Doesn't matter -- Gardner is already a silent commit to OSU. He's just saying this to divert attention.
...and by that, I mean helter-skelter, willy-nilly and putt-putt!
