Via Scout, the headline reads that sources at Inkster say that Devin Gardner's commitment announcement date is set. Does this bode well? I would think it does with the timing of the OSU drop.
P.S. Sorry for the deceiving topic title
What's deceiving about the title? It accurately stated what your thread said...although I was hoping you would actually tell us the date.
Ha, too bad sarcasm can't be displayed with text, all we get are those stupid smiley faces.
Yes, I'm an idiot. Someone should invent a sarcasm font.
assuming his announcement is this month. He's only seen a few schools, I believe and we all know he's been to U of M A LOT.
Plus, he probably got sick of Lane kiffin barging in him while he's taking a dump telling him he's going to wipe asses for a living if he goes anywhere else other than TN.
Or, he really likes Ron English and will be playing for EMU. could happen.
nevermind. dont acknowledge that
to get that giddy feeling. This bode well either way. Commit or R2 can look another direction.
Wouldn't surprise me if he does commit. I mean we have a QB race thats wide open, 3 and possibly 4 WR commits all in the 4* range, an ex-teammate, and the school is 25 min from his high school. I don't know what other school would have to trump all that.
Hookers and Money.
Someone on the Scout forums said he is announcing Monday, but that poster only has 4 total posts.
Monday would be crazy soon and id have to think that he'll pick michigan if that is the case.
Yeah, my gut tells me that that Monday thing isn't true. It's probably more like several months from now and is meant more as a deadline he's set for himself as opposed to "I know where I want to go and here it is..." kind of thing.
MORE GOOD NEWS: It looks GoBlueWolverine is the only one reporting this right now. Usually when commitment news is only coming from one team's site, it means something.
it helps that Sam Webb from Scout has the inside edge with recruits and coaches being that he's based in Ann Arbor.
I fear early QB commits.
I'll let you know when I hear something.
up now too. I think the key here is if he still attends Junior Day this Friday. If so, I can't imagine turning around on Monday and announcing for someone else.
already a verbal commit to Mich.
of course TIFWIW though
You guys have to stop this. I have two dates with two different women this weekend and now I'm going to spend both of them looking forward to what a high school kid might say on Monday.
Shopping with mom and brunch with grandma?
You can click the button yourself sir.
fwiw on his facebook a recent comment says "Good luck with your decision on monday".
i am not a creeper. i repeat i am not a creeper. just find it useful if you want to know the inside scoop on some recruits. also find it cool to be a friend of a possible and current michigan football player
I don't think the guy reading someones wall on facebook is a friend. That person that already knew he was making his decision Monday is the one I would consider a friend.
Or the person who knew he was making his decision monday is a person with a subscription to rivals or scout who is also a fan and wanted to be his friend on facebook because he also thought it would be cool to be friends with a possible Michigan football player. I dont think his "friends" are the only ones that know when he will be making his decision by now if its posted on 2 major recruiting sites.
maybe he's deciding which girl he should accompany to their senior prom? i don't think your a creeper, rather a reporter. right or wrong, thanks for sharing what you found out.
I just heard back from someone, and I'm hearing good news right now.
If TomVH says "good news" then I say "eeeeeeeeeeeeee"
Unless, he explicitly says in his presser that he is NOT going to take any more visits and all other coaches can suck it.
While he may or may not address if he'll be taking any more visits, one would think that RR has told every kid who wants to commit this early that if he is going to do so, that he doesn't want them to take any more visits. If he wants to, don't commit and the coaches will understand but still recruit him.
says "committed to Michigan" over at Buckeye planet. Over the years, that poster has been about as reliable as they come on the intertubes, so I'm feeling pretty good about this.
Michigan's junior day is on the 14th and he is planning on coming. Then, on Monday, he is announcing. Read into that what you will...
.....that we may get a few commitment announcements next Monday? Seems that our student recruiters may be doing good work, and the news may arrive after Junior Day next week. No wonder Rich Rod seemed slightly comfortable about his QB situation in his press conference yesterday.
I was under the impression that Gardner was a silent verbal to tOSU. I'll believe we have Gardner when he signs his LOI, thank you very much. Hard to trust someone that grew up an OSU fan.
from someone in the know (Sam Webb of Scout and WTKA), Gardner just "liked" OSU's colors but never was a fan in the sense of rooting for them etc.
He also explained this in the interview I did with him. He said he just liked red, and they were red.
ND doesn't have a shot at him do they...?
Not from what I've heard. I think it's either us, OSU, or he heads down south.
Its one nugget of useful information surrounded by 9,000 Michigan jokes in EVERY thread. I like that these message boards aren't obsessed with another team.
Also, if Gardner could just sign his LOI on monday too, that would be great.
Do you guys think if he commits we'll get a night game?
I'm glad you caught my sarcasm. I was half waiting to come back and have to defend myself.
Didn't you know Gardner's only condition on verballing to U of M is that they will have to host a night game for him?
Basketball can have a midnight madness...why can't football??
