In a conversation with Scout, Jones re-affirmed his commitment when he got home from his visit.
this week in unintentionally grim-sounding recruiting headlines
Does this mean all our crazy stalkers with Verizon can text him for free?
All along I've pridicted Jones out and Graves in. Now it's kind of the reverse.
We really needed two DTs in this class. Jones has the size to play right away, and he's probably going to need to.
was enthusiastic about it, or did it sound like there should have been a (for now) afterwards?
From what I can tell, he told Scout "I'm definitely coming back in June." Scout asked if that meant that he was re-solidified, and he said "You can print that."
Thanks for the info, Chitown. Still would love to have Graves stick with his commitment; we need numbers and talent badly.
Please note, this is only my interpretation of quotes he has given, BUT:
I really doubt Graves comes. He's seemed like he he's been backing away from Michigan since the day he committed.
HOOO. I, like many others, had his scholly pegged for a 5'8" dude. Martin, SoupCan,and Jonsie solidify the interior for a while.
not to hijack your thread, but everyone go check out MY thread on DQ Jones here:
basically - he gave what i feel were troubling quotes to rivals - saying that he wasn't very interested in UM before this visit - a visit he had rescheduled a number of times IIRC - but now, UM has a pretty good chance. seems like the tone of his quotes are quite different from the 2 pay-sites.
Jealous this thread had more replies or something?
He beat you to the post. To the victor go the spoils.
Let's all remember that Beaver was "100% Michigan" literally days before he de-committed.
Though Jones' affirmation provides hope, I'll wait until he signs the letter of intent before celebrating.
