In one of the Greg Robinson threads, someone mentioned that M might have trouble finding top flight coordinators because there's only $1.95 million budgeted for assistant coaches. I'm curious to know, Is this really low compared to other big name programs like OSU, ND, UT, UF, etc? If that actually is keeping us from looking at bigger name hires, it seems silly to pinch pennies on coordinators when we're willing to spend hundreds of millions on facilities upgrades, important as they may be.
"He makes it really easy on you as a coach because he has tremendous football instincts," Michigan tight ends coach Jay Harbaugh said. "Things come really naturally to him. He doesn't have to see things too many times. He has a good sense for how things should look and feel, and he's a tough, physical guy."
