The Commemorative Uniforms Have Landed

Upside: no helmet frippery. No numbers, either, but oddly the announcement says the Alabama uniforms will have them. It's just the rest of the season that won't:
Last season's practice of placing the player numbers on the famed winged helmet will be suspended after the season opener in Dallas.
Aaaand:
Michigan will wear its traditional home and road uniforms for the remainder of the regular season.
No six uniform changes this year, though the "regular season" leaves the door open for Commemorative Bowl Things.
BONUS: They're adding an American flag to the back of the helmet just to clear up any confusion about Michigan football's patriotism.
...of "traditional" Michigan uniforms? I prefer my version of traditional to your version of traditional.
If we beat Alabama in them, I'll buy one.
This is not a home game and it is not an away game. It is a NEUTRAL site game. I think these Uniforms are great for a neutral site game.

I like the return of the Block M on the shoulder. This is not my favorite implementation of it, but it's OK.
If they can limit the F'ing around with the Unis to 2 games a year and let us know in advance what games those will be, then I can brace myself for Uniformz a couple of times. But, no OSU game Uniformz please.
I'm not a big fan of the "special occasion" uniformz, but at least this one avoids the silly stripes we had on the upper shoulders for ND, MSU, and the Sugar Bowl last year. Me no likey the stripes.
I have to also point out that even when taken in the intended nonsensical context, "jib your sail" makes less than zero sense. I don't know what the hell to think of that phrase.

My gosh, I absolutely hate these alternate uniforms... As great of a job that Brandon has done, especially hitting it out of the park with the Hoke hire, it nonetheless feels as if the tradition is being prostituted with constantly having new jerseys....

I honestly quite like these (minus the gloves, which are beyond dumb): I still disapprove on the basis that a uniform should be, y'know, uniform and the one we've got already is classy.
So, are we or are we not going to have helmet numbers for the Alabama game? The official statement is ambiguous.
I think we should have them for that game, just to steal Alabama's look and piss them off. Course, they may retaliate and come out with white wings or something. Or just beat us by three touchdowns.
