In Brian's post yesterday he posted Deinhart's coaching rankings and mocked them and linked to other people mocking them, but while rankings like this need to be framed better I don't think the ranking was that out of line. He had Ferentz #1. Given the tools and recruiting base to which to work with hasn't Ferentz exceeded expectations? Forget about his bloated contract or ups and downs. Ferentz has limited resources with which to work and has beaten a lot of teams that have twice the talent. #2 was Rodriguez over Tressel which if you want to base off last year seems nuts, but if you look at what RR was able to do at WV vs what Tressel has done you could make that argument. I'm not sure what his context was in the article(lifetime achievement, current gameday coaching, whole package-recruiting, academics etc) so it is hard to argue points clearly. Paterno could be ranked from 1 to 11 depending on what you are basing your rankings on. Ditto for Rodriguez.
