ESPN just released that cameron gordon is down to Mich and Iowa for his services next fall. He visited the Hawkeyes last week and is trying to schedule an official to michigan this week but there is a conflict b/c he is taking the SAT or ACT on saturday. i hope we get him so he can lure devin gardner to michigan next year since they are high school teammates.
we have dropped Jamal Patterson in order to get Cam Gordon.....take it FWIW
I'd be okay with that, since I think Gordon will end up on defense. We need more help on defense than we do at outside WR, especially with the 2010 guys on board.
rivals is at a u of m game
we should just recruit cam gordon in order for him to be devin garnder's main recruiter. and any solid performance outta him on the field is just a bonus.
I wouldn't be so dour on Cam Gordon when he hasn't even committed/practiced/seen a snap at UM yet. Sure, I think that getting him is a backhanded way to get to Devin Gardner next year. Give Cam some respect, he has things going for him in his own right. I don't think, as a fanbase, we should be saying "Hey let's get this kid who sucks and then use him to get his OMG SHIRTLESS teammate". Might it be a fact? Sure. But Cam is in the Rivals 250, ahead of people like Toussaint (last I checked). He's not Charlie Weis.
Does "CG" stand for Cam Gordon. Are u Cam? Or are u just a fan.
Gordon is an odd case - his ranking, as GCS notes, is quite good. His offers - not as much. Cincinatti, Michigan, MSU, PSU, Iowa, Minnesota, Bowling Green, Central Michigan. It's not a horrible offer list, but not a great one for a top-250 recruit. I have no faith in my own ability to evaluate a prospect, but when I see a disconnect like that between offers and rankings, I tend to think he's possibly over-rated.
Cam Gordon, from what I've seen is a lot better than what people take him for.
he chooses UM he will have a shot to play outside WR.
