If so, drop me an email. I've got project ideas aplenty, no money to offer freelancers, and no time to execute them myself. I'll work with you and your professor in a live-fire software engineering situation, list your names prominently on any finished product, and write you a killer recommendation letter if you need one.

*(This was my actual term project for Software Engineering 481. My portion of the project was written in Visual J++, which was sued out of existence two months later.)

no money to offer freelancers? I was under the impression that all these amazingly insightful and compelling comments i've been making for the last 2 years would lead to an offer to write P/T for 10-30k per year. so, am i wrong here then? [now sadly navagating to monster.com.....]

I would throw some bucks in the air if someone could (is it possible?) integrate VB into Drupal. Combine that with custom icons and stuff, and I think you have a formula for some serious traffic/awesomeness there. Imagine the functionality of little brother's treehouse (RCMB) without the 'brah' factor, add in some intelligent scheme discussion, and I think you have something to rival Rivals.

Maybe your cash flow problem is a result from badly targeted advertising. This doesn't seem like the right demographic for SoapNet.com's "20 free bags in 20 days" promotion that for some reason sticks to the center of my screen.

but like Tacopants said, the ads are a bit bizzare. Also, the site doesn't diplay correctly on IE6 (I have to use that at work, sadly) - the first post starts after about two pages of blank screen. Looks good at home on Firefox 3.
