Burke Muppets Comment Count

Kind of good, that guy. Michigan just lost to Penn State and then beat Michigan State despite not hitting a three. All things are strange.

Muppets? Damn right muppets.

and you can't have one without the other...

Trey Burke kind of good you all.

I kind of wish this young team would develop a killer instinct!  They were up by 10 with 3 mintues to go...they should have won by 15 to 20 points. But I think this is a great turnaround game to end the season! I just hope they get more agressive by tourney time!

I'm worried we are in for a BIG drop off next year when Burke is playing in the NBA. He is the only reason M had been a top 5 team this season. Without him this team would really be struggling.

Well first let's enjoy this year before already worrying about next year.  And yes I had similar thoughts today - he was dominant.  I get a chuckle at reading game threads when people pile on Burke for doing too much.  Does he every so often? Yes.  Did Jordan, Thomas, Bird do "too much" for their respective teams.  Yep.  Cuz they were the best player on their team.

I had flashbacks to games versus Vince Young or "some running QB not be named from Ohio" who always seemed to make plays against us no matter what we did, series after series in football and we just could not stop them.  I felt that was how MSU had to feel after out rebounding, out 3 pointing but not out Burking.

Don't forget we get Walton next year and while there will be growing pains it won't be like we are starting Spike (no offense Spike).    That said who will have the killer instinct and be the guy who pulls out games at end of the day.  I don't see that killer instinct in anyone else so we'll see - heck maybe Walton or Zak Irvin.

As for the person who responded to you who said everyone drops off next year - not really - MSU loses Nix only and while not a throwaway player unless Payne goes early to the draft (and recent play shows he has grown a bunch so its probable) they should be the top of the Big 10 next year.  UM still should have a quality team and Beilien hopefully keeps them at a level they dont rebuild, just reload.  It will be another extremely young team next year for UM, the whole team who will be playing ex Horford (assuming THJ leaves) will be frosh and sophmores.

He's been projected as anywhere from a top ten pick to a pick in the early 20's of the 1st round.  Now that could be hype and get pulled back as we get closer to the draft deadline as real teams evaluate him, but he's certainly an early entry danger for State. And if he goes, they're in trouble next year (relatively speaking).

Seeing muppets in an MGoBlog post is always a good thing, and wielded at the appropriate times-never gets old!

Loved seeing sad Sparties (I really wish this game didn't fall during break) walk out too...they looked like they still couldn't believe Trey Burke just made Appling look silly the last minute. Great day!
