the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
Brian on WTKA at 4:40
Brian will appear on Sports Talk 1050 WTKA in... oh, about 10 minutes or so. Presumably, he'll be discussing the Freep Jihad.
Listen live on WTKA's website, or at 1050 AM here in Ann Arbor.
WTKA just asked if mgoblog was on the computer. That's oddly a very valid question today with the way the server is acting.
Money says their streaming audio fails in 3..2..1..
I can't get audio to stream but I'm not sure if its their site or the firewall at work. Hopefully there is a podcast up later today.
REALLY, this guy steps up with someone and doesn't know who he's interviewing.
IS THERE ANY MEMBER OF THE PRESS OUT THERE WITH A CLUE WHO CAN DROP US SOME SUPPORT HERE!
Um, I'm pretty sure it was a joke about the site crash.
Has Brian been on the air yet? I've been listening for about 10 mins and no word of him
Sounds like Brian will have a different take on things than what I have heard so far. (They just spent a couple of minutes saying how great the Freep writer/editor are.)
Life should not be a journey to the grave to arrive safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What A Ride!" HST
I skipped the option to download silverlite and selected the basic media player. It is working fine.
Thanks for the heads up Tim.
Brian is on now, didn't get on until about 5:15.
Wait, the things that Michigan is accused of are really just secondary violations? Rosenberg and the Freep lose more and more credibility by the hour. The Freep should just eliminate the sports section. It is worthless.
Ann Arbor is a classy broad.
"Get off my plane!" - Ricky Stanzi, Air Force One 2
And Brian just made a great comment about the compliance environment at Michigan, the records that they will likely have to back things up, and the secondary nature of these so-called violations.
And there's actually some discussion about the team (Kelvin Grady, for example).
There's a football season coming up?
SDM
that is praising the investigative reporting done by the Free Press? The guy was complimenting the "exhausitive research" done on this - what a douche.
Why is that host being kind of an ass to Brian?
The host was pretty much saying the Freep article was well written. So, he knows Brian disagrees with him on that.

Just heard Rosenberg on air on my way home on the Huge Show (live to far away for WTKA)....
Rosenberg said that he did not know off hand how many players that he interviewed were on the team and so therefore refused to try and answer the question. He said he interviewed 10 players total, yet wouldn't say how many were transfers and how many were on the team as of today.
Simonson asked zero pertinent questions that got to the heart of the matter IMO.
He knows who he interviewed and their names. His article states six "current or former" players, meaning all could be former with grudges.
Yes, he interviewed 10 players and 6 said that UofM worked out to the point of violation. Yet Rosenberg won't say if any of the 6 were still on the team or how many.
He won't even respond to the fact that some of Clemon's time listed doesn't count toward the hour limits in any scenario.
The only pertinent question was when Huge asked how many of the people he interviewed were current players. When Rosenberg answered with something like "Um... uh... well... the total included both current and previous players", Huge unfortunately didn't push the question at all.
Simonson is absolutely worthless. I've stated my epinion on him several times, so this is sort of redundant.
I probably should just put that in my sig.

- Jack Handey
And who is this other guy -- here in Ann Arbor for all of 5 days -- making exactly zero good points?
Is anyone aware of whether there is a podcast of the segment? I didn't see that he was going to be on until long after it began.
Brian's voice is so soothing. (/creeper)
Excellence is Good
I was thinking the same thing. He has an NPR voice.
I have a Fandom Endurance III merit badge
Yeah, that should bode well for future work in radio and/or TV if Brian ever wants to go there.

Uh, the host is John U. Bacon, author of Bo's Lasting Lessons. I haven't thought at all that he's being an asshole to Brian, just trying to probe for answers.
The ESPN.com guy, on the other hand, is completely worthless.

His comments are not very useful, this profile picture confirms why.

Great comment about Rosenberg not accepting challenges to his article Brian. It must mean he knows it's not the whole story.
do not, i repeat... DO NOT turn over to The Ticket if you don't want to take your computer/radio and throw it into the wall. I tried to call in to make my points (a long laundry list) but the line was busy. They are bringing up no new points and refuse to hear that it may not be true.

Seriously, Brian is kicking ass. I wish they'd put him on ESPN tonight. Go Blue!
Michigan Football is life...the rest is just details.
is Brian. I heard him say he had a girlfriend! Plus I think he presented himself very well.
I address myself to everyone, even to those who follow other football teams or who are simply seeking an answer to the fundamental questions of life and have not yet found it.
Anyone know if Sam Webb made any comments?
For those who haven't checked out the link above, there is a poll at the bottom of their page asking for your reaction to the Freep article. The options: "100% fact", "smear campaign", and "somewhere in the middle". "Smear" has garnished a whopping 90% of the vote.
what the shit Brian's part of the show isn't on their podcast list.

No question, Jim.
"Podcast" can be found here: http://panel-creations.com/first/bigshow.mp3, too.

Go for it Brian, MGo nation is behind you.
