So, does the fact that several of us are blogging during the MNC mean it is already boring (early in the first quarter)?
Yup!
Defense is part of good football, in my opinion.
This game is better than most of hte other OU games this season.
So far, M last year is superior!!

how about the announces slurping tebow? the unquestioned greatest leader in college football? Your life would be better after spending 15 minutes with him? WTF? Danielson isn't even doing the game.
Yeah, I feel unfulfilled. If only I could spend 15 minutes with Tim The Tool Man.
Oooooh, 0-0 at the end of 1.

I'm hoping for an absolute snoozer so that Utah is MNC and we kill the damn BCS
2011 Totals: 3 Cracker Jack, 1 Mike & Ike, 0 Candy Corn.
Did Chris Myers really leave ESPN for this????

Obviously, Jamar is now in the pro bowl just cause he spent a day with Tim the Tool.
What? He's not??
Damn, perhaps Tim is just a Tool.

A snap timer?! WTF is that?

td OU all tied up at 7
I really OU beats florida. i dont really like either one of that much, but i guess i could say that i hate Oklahoma less than Florida.
That's chapter 1, would you like to have chapter 2? You better you son of a bitch, I know the way.
I find myself coming to the same conclusion. At any rate, I think OU will win - they're controlling the line of scrimmage.
have me rooting for oklahoma in a rout since FOX doesn't seem to have any whistlebait working the sideline. I thought Okies would win in a shootout, and it would be a fun game--not yet. is family guy on?
I hope don't press means press right away! --Homer, 2003 A.D.
Boring? Not at all; I think it's a pretty good game.

So, it such a good game that you are giving it your "divided" attention?

It's actually a really good game. And that's what commercial breaks are for.
you can type and read in between plays. seriously, in this day and age, if you struggle multi-tasking, you probably are doing something wrong.

Well, yeah, it is possible to multi-task but if you are really "in" to any event, you never even consider multi-tasking.
E.G. I have never blogged while attending a U/M game (even though it is certainly possible).
I have never blogged while having mad, passionate, monkey sex with my significant other.

I frequently work on the computer while I'm watching sports; I don't think that's a sign that I'm not enjoying the game.

Seriously, if I see the Dodge Ram one more time, I'll ...
Okay, it's an empty threat. But I would really like some different commercials.
they call a penalty on florida for excessive celebration, but OU did the same exact thing in the first qt with no call
That's chapter 1, would you like to have chapter 2? You better you son of a bitch, I know the way.
i was going to ask if we were looking at charlie strong thge dc for florida, but ou is running all over them

Did Thom Brennaman (sp?) honestly say that in this age of cynicism and negativity, that if a person spends 5 minutes with Tim Tebow, that person will be better for it?
Ladies and Gentleman, Mr. Tebow is being groomed to assume the ESPN-suck throne of Brett Favre once Favre retires in 10 years.
And Tebow may be a great guy, but Stevie Brown would've intercepted those two passes that were picked off.
Honestly, enough with Tebow!
Yeah, and it is even worse. The reason many folks are so enamored with Tim the Tool is that "god is on his side".
No, really, I'm serious.
He actually believes god has singled him out to be a really good f'ball player.

I'm not religious, but it's ridiculous to hate on him for being a good person. What he believes is his business.
Would you rather see someone like Maurice Clarett getting the success Tebow's gotten?
Tebow believes everything he does is through God's will. You'd have to be an asshole or a massive cynic to really believe he thinks God has singled him out. I'm not at all religious, more agnostic than anything, but I can appreciate other people's faiths.
When your team is winning, be ready to be tough, because winning can make you soft. On the other hand, when your team is losing, stick by them. Keep believing. -- Bo Schembechler
damn i don't really give a fuck about tebow or danielson, I care about football.
but do all of you bloggers hate christians so much that you have to rag on tebow for it?
No, but to even hint that a supreme being (whether christian, muslim, hindu, or whatever) would actually give a shit about a sports event, let alone an individual player, trivializes religion in general.
Anyone who thinks this must be completely insane or just be completely conceited.

i think you're interpreting the wrong way. the idea is that his physical talents are a gift are from God. you are correct that the outcome of the game is trivial, and is rather unrelated.
So, Tim the Tool got his "physical talents from god". Really??
He didn't work out? He didn't spend hours and hours and hours and hours practicing and practicing and practicing??
Wow, how was he chosen instead of about 3 billion other human beings?

1. For someone named "Enjoy Life," you don't seem particularly friendly. You might want to take your own advice.
2. Yes, I absolutely believe that Tebow's talents (like those of virtually all other superstar athletes) have much more to do with inborn/genetic traits than anything he did in the gym. There's a reason people talk about "God-given ability." Lots and lots of people work out hard in the gym. 99.9% of them suck at sports anyway.
i don't think he'll get your point. Even if he does, I think he'll try to provoke you anyway. let's just focus on the game.
I agree, let's get back to the game.
BTW, I count on taking action on my own to "enjoy life".

That reminds me of a story I heard about Yogi Bera. A certain batter kept coming to the plate and crossing himself. At his third (I think) at bat Yogi said: "Why don't you leave God alone and let him watch the game."

you're one annoying atheist.
btw, i'm muslim so make fun if you want. it seems to be what you like doing.
Yes, I am an atheist. But, I have many muslim friends (I spent 2 years in Saudi -- Rasool and I were best buds. This is TRUE. I am not being sarcastic.)
I almost never discuss religion. The folks at FOX (and a different blogger) initiated this part of the discussion.
Read what I said. Even as an atheist, I respect anyone's religion -- unless they actually try to propose that a supreme being would care more about a football game than the millions (not an exaggeration) of humans that starve to death every year.

I think the reason it bothers people is that there are many who think the reason they have a big house / nice car / high paying job / athletic ability is because they believe in God.
I tend to think that if someone believes in God the 'reward' is eternal life after death, not a fat bank account or laser rocket arm in this one.
Either way I can't wait til Tebow is out of college football, he's a great competitor and one of the best I've ever seen, but I'm just so sick of hearing the announcers slobber over him.
Wow - talk about terrible playcalling. You're literally a couple inches away, and you run wide?
Whooo, Hooo, have we just developed a new, innovative, non-hosted live blog??????
